My first job was a apprentice motor mechanic £3 .50 a week.Fitting wing mirrors,retractable aerials,under sealing ,seatbelts were the norm. :cry:In 1965 everything was so simple.
 
Never driven a column shift but helped a mate hand paint his 6 cylinder 'Z Cars' Ford and that had a column change (we made a dreadful job of it but we were about 12 year old! - His Dad wasn't pleased.)

My first motor was a Hillman Super Minx Moz :lol: (Quite similar)
 
Tinted windows!! Very posh at the time . . . . (think the first one's I saw were on a Japanese saloon - Nissan?)
 
My GT6 has wing mirrors, a choke and quarter light windows. My old Landrover S2a had a floor mounted high beam and pump screen wash :thumbsup:
