Wondermike's got an SLK with Airscarf... heat vents towards the neck on demand. I thought it was overkill on MB's part, but I think it's a very popular option.easty027 said:Wondermike said:Wouldn't be without them![]()
Luckily I have "hairdryers" in the headrests too, lovely on a cold day.
Hairdryers in the headrests ?..let me guess, some hair straighteners down the side of the drivers door as well >?......not doing much to dispell the hairdressers car rumours!
Definitely! I can't believe the Z4 didn't come with a heated screen. It's annoying when you blast the air after a cold start only to find the screen fully mists up before clearing. It's led to some near blind driving at times.Breaker said:Now that is one thing I will miss that I had on my last MINI. A heated front screen! Don't think Z4's came with the option? Even the missus Ford Focus has that!AndyZ4 said:Great to have. I use them with the roof down and have also started to use them first thing in the morning - outside temp gauge read 3.5 deg C yesterday and I had to chisel ice off the windscreen for the first time.
Ok, Ok, don't rub it in!!Aebous said:I'm confused. What is this cold weather and misting screens? Is that some new movie?
Perhaps when they designed the Z4 they had a model driver in mind. The sort of pansy driver that needs heated seats and packs their car away in a nice warm garage during the winter months!bras0782 said:Definitely! It's also annoying having to frequently blast the air to keep the screen clear if you don't have the aircon on.

I don't consider what you will have for the next few months as "cold" mate...to be "cold" it has to be below -25 C...![]()
Yes, I store the M in the winter....a little tough to drive in these conditions....they don't come with a snow plow option for the front end unfortuantely.....
I've been in your town when it snowed!Aebous said:I'm confused. What is this cold weather and misting screens? Is that some new movie?
