Not being able to put your roof down .....because you bought the coupe

Beautiful afternoon here in Bristol & Bath.... Out for lunch with the Mrs, bit of a blast in the E86, lovely!

Lots of convertibles pottering about, roofs down, in the sun.

Opening the widows fully’s just not quite the same :D

Already knew what this post would be about before I clicked on it   I guess they could gaffer tape a 12 Volt hairdryer to their dash to try and emulate being as cool as us E85 rockstars? :poke:

Mmmm well I’m not an E85 rockstar, but I do love the way my E86 looks.... from the outside :D

A few years ago I bought a Cayman because I loved the shape. It didn’t take me long to realise my mistake. For me the E89 offers a decent compromise. :D

This is one of the many car-based conclusions I have reached too. The Boxster doesn't do it for me, but the Cayman is a lovely shape...only missing the drop top! E89 fills that hole quite admirably methinks.

It also adds the security of a hardtop. Some years ago when I owned an MGB some rogue slashed the hood to steal the contents of the car. What was particularly annoying was that there was next to nothing left in the car. :P

Scum!

Mmmm having spent ages finding the right Coupe... can’t help thinking I might have bought the wrong car... for weekend summer fun... :o

Any E86 owners going to give me a virtual slap and bring me to my senses :poke:

True-Blue, I have got an E89 and today being my day off work I have been enjoying the sunshine but to be honest I wished I had looked into having a coupe!!!!!

I may be biased but why not have the best of both worlds a roadie for sunny days & stick on the hard top for rainy ones 2 cars in one happy days :D :D :D

Bought my coupé for the shape and usually ride bikes, when the sun comes-out.
Have had other convertibles and sold a classic SAAB ‘vert’ last year.
Reckon I’m too ugly for a soft top...

I think I’m over it this morning

I’m sure I’d regret selling it immediately if I moved to an E85 or an E89.

If I jumped ship to an E89 it would have to be the super-quick one :driving:

It’s a lovely day out there and so hope our E85 and E89 cousins make the most of it...👍🏼
Shame there was no E89 coupe...

nothing like driving home from work with the top down feeling, really refreshed when you get home. I feel really sorry for everyone stuck in a tin box. :fuelfire:

Sun is shining all weekend and you’ve got an E86....... :P
