Do Hexagon pick prices out a hat ?

Just found this - decent spec (though no DSP), low mileage, but really - they are taking the pi$$ with the price :

Definitely summer time...

It's not cheap having a showroom in Highgate, you know... :poke:

Good point. And being on a hill there is less oxygen at higher altitude which tends to bend the brain a little. I know, I used to live in Muswell Hill :D

Ah yes... also the place you can find this coupe, possibly one of the lowest milege around; but with a price which would be more suitable for an //M!

Yup - red ///MR at James Paul with similar mileage to that coupe for the same price.

They're almost as pricey as 'Classic Heroes' although with Hexagon you've got a chance of speaking to someone who won't be bi-polar (and and I don't mean someone who likes to screw penguins & bears).

Infact looking around on the AUC website, there don't seem to be any si coupes within 3 or 4k of that! Not sure it's justified just on mileage, must be the postcode

I must admit they always seem to have some nice stuff in & if money isn't an object then it's where to shop!

They seem to find lots of low mileage examples & this surprises me but then I thought if you live in London you aren't really going to be doing many miles in your car so that must be how they do it.

But would you rather buy a 10,000 mile car that's been chuntering around London, or one that's done 30,000 miles but spent virtually all it's time on motorways...?

That's a fair point tbh  I have given up buying really low mileage cars as my old TVR was hardly used by its previous owner & it gave me nothing but trouble! So I prefer to buy average mileage motors then I know they have more than likely been used & serviced properly.

I don't know why but super low mileage still really appeals even though I wouldn't dabble again.

10k London miles is roughly equivalent to 50k+ "normal" miles

Personally if i find a car has spend more than a long weekend in London it's an immediate no-sale

They've used a bit of licence there....

3,246 round to two decimals 3.25, rounded to one decimal 3.3! Or at least that's the only explanation I can think of other than they just got their facts wrong!

They round everything up to the next 1000... engine capacity... prices...

Spec, miles, colour and condition all look good which helps the price. They are becoming harder to find with low miles. I agree though, Hexagon are always top end priced, but they do tend to have very nice cars (at least from the ads). Suppose it's also partly due to proximity to better paid \ time poor people.

Anyway, I thought these cars were future classics, with good examples likely to stop depreciating and then start appreciating? No?

As good condition 1998 M Roadsters can be had around 7.5k I think it willbe over a decade or so before you could expect any rise in value - hope to be proved wrong .
