I work for Sky (don't shoot me) and I agree that it's a seriously expensive package, though I don't think there is much out there that can beat it for quality, intuitiveness and content. I have Sky Q and it's bloody brilliant (though I would say that

). The loss of Discovery and Eurosport is frustrating though in this case it was Discovery who were holding us to ransom the greedy beggers.
I would suggest those who want to stay with Sky give them a call and express your concerns, say you are considering moving to a competitor (BT) and see if they negotiate the price. It's amazing what the sales team will do to hold on to a customer.
