I work for Sky (don't shoot me) and I agree that it's a seriously expensive package, though I don't think there is much out there that can beat it for quality, intuitiveness and content. I have Sky Q and it's bloody brilliant (though I would say that 
). The loss of Discovery and Eurosport is frustrating though in this case it was Discovery who were holding us to ransom the greedy beggers.
I would suggest those who want to stay with Sky give them a call and express your concerns, say you are considering moving to a competitor (BT) and see if they negotiate the price. It's amazing what the sales team will do to hold on to a customer.

The problem with this is if you actually want the channels that Sky can no longer provide lowering the cost of your package doesnt really work. You would just be paying less for something you dont want. :headbang:indeep75 said:

......... at the moment :? I have been thinking of ditching it though and going for freeview as the tv is crap and for the money I do feel ripped off. Got Kodi for films and series anyway.
The only reason I have sky is im on 60% off all tv and half price broadband. If they lose discovery I won't be staying with them. I worked out there are only a small handful of paid for channels I actually watch and all the good series are on things like netflix anyway.

I would gladly ditch Sky if it wasn't for the fact that it's the only channel to show live golf.

FYI, discovery have come to an agreement with Sky, and they are staying on their platform. Lovely ol' job
