Thought I'd make a thread out of the way to post some of the nicer pictures I get of the car!

On saturday I went to visit audi-retrofits.co.uk round in Horton Kirby. Lovely guy who knows what he is doing with Audi, got him to activate a few optional extras that my car didn't have by default:
- Tyre pressure monitoring
- Audi drive select
- Comfort lighting
- Reverse sensor visual display
- Fog light on slow speed cornering

While there got this rather nice picture :)

Looking great chap!

I have VCDS if you want any other coding done... I've added puddle lights and door optics to mine and coded those pretty easily. :D

What do the puddle lights and door optics look like? Not a clue myself :D

May take you up on that offer at some point, had the alarm blip on lock/unlock turned on and not sure how long it will last before it grates on me lol!

This was out in the countryside, maybe it's normal out there to half paint things. Or at least it felt like countryside!

They ran out of paint on the Audi as well, the mirrors are still in primer

The Puddle lights on mine are at the bottom of the door cars... And the door optics light up the interior handle at night... Pointless but look nice :)

Only pic i got of mine:

And oh good, I think I need it removing at some point lol!

Went to Isle of White for the weekend with Ruby, JuniorJet and his GF. Weather held out and it was rather sunny all weekend!

Few images of the cars were taken:

So this weekend I updated the front grill to the honeycomb RS5 version, a much nicer look overall!

 Shame it isn't like the Z4 where the grills just pop off, bumper off jobby just to change it :headbang:

Love the car but prefer the before grill .
What miles are on the car & have you found any problem's or issues ?
My son is getting close to jumping into one as soon as he finds the right car ( blue / red )

Interesting Mr Wilks as most prefer the RS5 one! Each to their own though

The car is now at 55k miles.

It had had the notorious cliutch bearing/valve/not sure what its called replaced when I brought it from the dealership so no worries there.

I've had the window regulator fail which meant both sides had new improved replacements fitted under warranty and technical bulletin. This was another common issue. As for anything else not really had any issues apart from small niggles and even then generally happy with it.

He certainly should when he finds the right one! Can give a better idea of running costs for him if he doesn't already know? He looking at the V8 or Supercharged V6?

Would be V8 A5 or supercharged A4 , he doesn't cover silly miles a week , maybe 70/100 max ? Currently running Golf R32 for last 12 months & nothing BMW have really interests him :? (tried dangling a ZMC but he laughs :o )
After 5 previous VWs guess he's a fully doctrinated VAG lad
Budget is up to £17k so he's looking at private sales around the 60k mark & strictly manual so the mention of the clutch bearing will be worthy of note

A bit surprised about the change as it looks the same as my standard TFSI now ?

He should have a look on the A5OC forum for sale section and see if there is anything there.

There is a very well known supercharged V8 being sold for 20k at present :D

One of the usual giveaways for the clutch issue is apparently having to push your foot really into the floor for the car to start however I haven't experienced it to know the difference. That or just make some enquiries on A5OC and similar to this forum plenty of helpful people who know what they are on about.

Carbon cleaning is another thing to note with the V8 as it is direct injection. I am in the process of trialling a Hydrogen clean with before and after dyno runs to see whether it works as I'd prefer not to pay £700 to have my engine cleaned every 40k miles!
