DISA valve rebuild kit recommendation please

Hello my friends,

My car seems fine, but would like to check the DISA valve.
There are a lot of rebuild kits out there on Amazon, eBay, etc. I'm afraid that if the kit is poor quality, that pin that holds the flap might just fall off and nuke the engine.

Do you guys know of a good quality rebuild kit?

X8R are a good kit.Do a serch on here for disa valve, there’s lots of info.

Well that triggered me to finally get round to buying one from X8R. Went to their website and watched the How To video as well.

A quick search on here mentioned a coupon code which I tried and it worked (love this forum  )

If you buy one from X8R, enter 'VALUED' in the coupon code box at checkout and you'll get 10% off. :D

Fantastic!
Just ordered the X8R kit with the VALUED discount coupon.
What makes me happy is that this kit actually IMPROVES the disa to not break, and in case of breaking, no dropping a pin inside the engine.

Thank you guys.

Only ordered mine on Tuesday and have received a message from parcelforce saying it'll be delivered this morning.
Glad I didn't bother to pay the extra for faster delivery. :D

X8R just fitted this week- its good!

I am changing ours as the car has just clocked over 110k and no evidence it's ever been done.
Apart from much more peace of mind, will I actually notice any difference?

I haven’t noticed any change at all, apart from a little peace of mind as you say!

Mine deffo wasn’t bad but was clearly on the way regards the pin

Gave me chance to check for oil in the area as I think my CCV is starting to gunk up- but it was clean

Easy job too- and for a change one I could do at the kitchen table to p155 the missus off!
