Diagnostic Services - Members Register (INPA, Carsoft etc.)

As this was supposed to be a directory of people with the software and cable.
Im able to do clearing fault codes inc. airbag.
Coding for any bm to 07. (using ncs expert)

im in the lincolnshire area, scunthorpe mainly, but travel to hull and grimsby alot.

I have the cable and software and now looking to turn off my DRL (which are running as lower voltage to high beams).

I have an issue with my cd changer not working since I disconnected my battery. Basically it will not eject, or play any cd's. Occasionally I hear it make some noises so it does have power.
I logged this issue in the E85/86 problem area, and it was suggested that INPA may be able to fix it. So I purchased a cable and some ready made vm's from eBay. The cable turned up today so I thought I would give it a go. In INPA it can see the cdchanger and gives me info on it. The only option I can see that Looks like it may help is to do a cd changer power down, however when I do this I get a script error.
I think the INPA machine and cable are ok from the fact that I am able to do other things like blue tooth pairing and adjust the radio settings. But just get this error with the cd changer. Any suggestions?

I do also have the dis vm, but I did not get much joy getting that to work - not sure if that would help either.

Anyone providing this services in the leeds area. Got my Z the other day, just woundering it I could get afew things added.

No one wanna help?
Hi,

I've got the bmcables kit and would be happy to help. I've only used it myself for changing basics using SSS, but I have all the software installed. I'm in Alwoodley if you wanted to come round.

Any members around Bristol/Swindon? Looking to set visual disarming (my hazards don't flash on unlock currently, assume this is it?) and the triple flash indicated one-touch.

Thanks for any help!

Does anyone know if it is possible to code the car to disable the passenger seatbelt warning? I've fitted m-seats with occupancy sensor bypass, which means the car always thinks the seat is occupied, causing the warning to go off unless the seatbelt is plugged in.

If anyone is able to do this in SW london, please let me know.

Many thanks,

Andrew.

Not possible, tried my self. You simple can't go on airbag/seat belts module.

Are you sure? I read a how to guide where somebody has fitted m-seats, and this was one of the steps. I can't remember the members name now, will have a search later when I'm not on my phone.

Andrew.

Yes it can be done

I have fitted m seats (facelift) to a preface lift car.

You have to fit bypass airbag module from eBay then using SSS v32 in retro section disable passenger seat belt reminder chime.

I know I'd read it was possible somewhere. Now I just need to find somebody with SSS v32 in the london area!

I've done that exact same thing above, facelift M-sport in pre-facelift.

I only have a light on the dash and I'm almost certain that is due to a dodgy connector on the pre-tensioner (so INPA says any way)

Did you fit the bypass module because the occupancy sensor was damaged/faulty?

I installed and run INPA, but it sounds like NCS/SSS are also nice to work over EDIABAS? Are they quite easy to install and get working? Or are they GT1 EDIABAS emulation jobbies?

Hi Dave,

I wasn't sure if your question about the bypass module was being asked to me. I presume you're aware that when you fit facelift M-sport or Z4m seats into a pre-facelift, for the passenger side you need to either use an occupancy sensor bypass module, or fit the occupancy sensor from a facelift? If you don't do one of these then it will trigger the airbag light.

Andrew.

Hi Andrew,

I was just generally throwing it out there as in my experience I think my passenger seat is ok.

I'm not sure really. I have no warning on the passenger seat in INPA, and the occupancy sensor on the passenger seat is working correctly too.

The fault code I currently have is something on the drivers seat pre-tensioner circuit low or something (because the connection is broken)

My seats are from an 06 3.0Si iirc, into an 04 3.0i.

It was the first thing I tested, I drove around with a friend in the passenger seat with belt on/off and lifting himself up out of the seat and then back down and it functioned exactly as expected.

From what I saw the facelift seats have the occupancy 'box' that is usually fitted under the seat in-line with the loom on pre-facelift, built into the back of the occupancy sensing matt in the base of the seat (there is a plastic impregnated lump that isn't present on the pre-facelift seats)

I'm confused at this stage hehe. I have a new bit of loom for the drivers side thingy to go in. I'll try do it this week and then try reset the codes in INPA and see where I get!

Thanks

Dave

My airbag light has come on after a flat battery :headbang:

Anyone around North London/South West Essex who could help out in exchange for a few tins of their favourite?
