UPDATE
I've just received the email below. Its pretty obvious really, but I thought I'd post it anyhow. Its probably worth deciding on the day who's car we use, but perhaps we can arrange now for someone not to bring their pride and joy and use that for the training? Someone mentioned their works car/Merc?
Oh, he also mentioned, if you have a DA/Rotary, bring it with you so that you can get used to using it under their tutelage.
Hi Gary
We've had the first payment through
Before anyone else makes a payment I realised I had not advised you of a couple of points about the training for you to make sure everyone is aware of (I forgot to mention them as all the training so far has been one-to-one and they aren't relevant to that).
It's kind of obvious, but please can you make sure everyone is aware before they make payment that the day will be tailored towards a group session and not just a one-on-one session with five people (if you know what I mean). As everyone is working on single car (and they are all paying a fifth each) there won't be as much attention to each person as there would on a one-to-one day - Phil will still obviously cover the full training schedule and subjects with everyone and split his time between everyone equally, but he will be splitting himself between five people so there will be a bit more standing around and watching than a regular one-to-one session - but we'll keep everyone busy busy as much as possible.
Also, please make sure everyone is aware that as we will be using one of your cars, if someone should cause damage (although, as I explained, this is unlikely and hasn't happened before) then we would not hold liability and the issue would need to be resolved between that person and the owner. Normally with a one-to-one session it's the owner anyway, so that is never an issue, but we have to make the point for a group day.
They are kind of common sense points, but we need to make sure everyone is aware going in - if you could pass that on, many thanks
Kind regards,
Foxx
