just covered the RS6 in carpro Hydro2.... very, very odd to use, but I got a decent shine... not sure about the claimed up to 3 months durability... but we'll see...

hmm this stuff seems interesting! how are you finding it so far?

To be brutally honest - rubbish.

OK, I may be being a bit harsh as I only had the car a few days and it got shipped off to a garage, where they have cleaned it (probably with a strong TFR)... but still.... nothing there, no beading... no protection...

I've found the Sonax quick detailer to last longer...

I'll probably give the Hydro another chance to see if I get the same result... but at the moment.... yes it's very easy to use and a real "no wipe" solution... but can't say I'm impressed with the durability.

Getting to that time of year again when we want to get rid of all that winter grime.Happy with the Claying stuff but what are the best products for taking out swirls.
The car is only 18 months but there are a few starting to appear. To date have been using Autoglim Super Resin Polish and Maguires Canuba wax, both of which need replacing so any recommendations would be appreciated. Have a bottle of Autoglim paint restorer unused but not sure if that is the product I am looking for.

PS Would you apply a hardner over the wax or have the wax as the final coat

For taking out swirles as a beginner you really need a DA polisher

http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polishing-machines/das-6-pro-dual-action-polisher/das-6-pro-dual-action-polisher/prod_673.html

For removing swirls you need the cut from a cutting compound polish and this cant really be achieved by hand, by hand the best you can do without killing yourself is mask them.

The Autoglym you have been using has an extremely light cutting effect but it way more of a filler. this means the effects will wear off after time.
