Depressing weather

Its 10 days away from Mid Summers day.

It's 15c and raining again.

When will this global warming I keep hearing about eventually kick in? :(

Was thinking the same thing today. Just six days to the start of the coarse fishing season and the forecast is shite for the next two weeks. Added to that the EA are so useless they haven't sorted a breach in the river upstream, so my favourite fishing venue has 3ft less water than it should. Blaming nesting birds now as to why they can't fix it. It breached in January.
It was 12c here today and it hailed! So cold it took an hour for it to melt.
It is bloody depressing!

Yes, it feels more like March!

A few weeks ago when we had a couple of warm days I noticed the A/C in my 3 Series was struggling. Knowing I was going to be doing a 200+ mile trip away for a few days this month I booked it in for a diagnosis today and got away with just a £70 regas - but I really needn't have bothered.

It was freezing first thing about 9 degrees when on my 5 mile walk which doesn't seem cold but it was the wind chill that killed any warmth. It is getting a bit depressing now, really been like this since last September with the odd warmish day but planning outside stuff when you really need a dry windless day never seems to happen these days :|

Car washing tomorrow so expecting it to chuck it down.

Tim.

Well down here in south Devon its been around 18 to 20 c. But rain from Wednesday til god knows when

Totally depressing.

I’ve been switching the central heating on for a few hours each day and wearing winter jackets to go outside, my shorts and sandals are still in the cupboard.

Off down to Lyme Regis for a week soon, I hope things pick up a little.

They keep saying due to climate change we will have warmer summers and wetter winters. Seems it’s wet, wet, wet and more wet.

But at least no hosepipe ban

That was also the norm of "climate change" remember.

Don't worry. Three days of no rain in July it will be back.

True - they just replaced my meter earlier in the week after I used too much and then not enough

If there was a ban, I would have been investigated during the "too much" time :o

You need to move across the river Mike. The ground on Bodmin moor is like concrete. Had no significant rain up there for a month. Apparently it is coming on Thursday though. Can't come on Wednesday, as I'm climbing at Berry Head.

Apparently here also for around a week on and off. So no siting in the garden this year on Fathers' day eating home made scones with lashings of Devon cream and strawberry jam.

[/quote]Should that be Strawberry jam with Devon Cream?

It depends whether you are Cornish or Devonian. I don't know which is correct but someone on here does :poke: However as my wife's scones are always fresh from the oven (yum) the jam goes on first to stop the cream melting. If they were cold scones in wouldn't matter :poke:
