Call back from BMW today (after seeing the car Saturday) chasing up if im interested or not I'll let him sweat a few more days before telling him its way overpriced.

I thought it was going to sell in 5 minutes...surely you're mistaken and he's found another for you.

Or, perhaps, it is actually a buyers market!

Not that they'll drop anymore I suspect.

Exactly, the "manager" said to me if he dropped it anymore he'd be making a measley £1100 on it. I said thats a good profit of £1100 then I'll have it for £500 over what you paid for it

I'm sure they wont bring the price down a penny more.. When I saw it, it still hadnt had its AUC, etc. Its priced at M price so it wont shift fast and they know it.

They said they would take £18,500 for it no less.

£1,500 more and you could get a collectors car and in a 'M'. And it wont loos as much in value as that 3.0L. Guarantee, add 10k miles to that car and PX in a year and you wont get £10k for it.

Call back from BMW again. Car has not sold (surprise) after some chat about pricing and cars etc. How much would it take to do a deal today. I said it has to be £17,500 no more with 1 years tax thrown in.

I doubt they will reduce the car by £1760 in 1 week of advertising it but who knows.

£17,500 with 1 years tax would be an absolute bargain, in my opinion. It's a 58 plate, from a dealer, with low mileage and very good options list.

Report back and let us know if you get it!

As expected I received the same call from the dealer as last week but I told them nothing has changed, im not budging from my offer.

If your looking for a good well looked after Z4 MR try the one at cooper tunbridge, it use to be mine but part ex for my M3, can give you loads of details and photos to go with it, if you're interested pm me and Il put you in touch with the salesman my family have dealt with at tunbridge, very well looked after by the tunbridge dealership.

Just for info, I mentioned as part of this thread I was thinking of selling my Z4mr. I thought I would test the water in terms of part ex against either a a5 convertible or BMW 3 series convertible around the late £20k Mark.

The Audi dealer came back saying the car (2008 with 33k mikes, sat nav etc) was difficult to price but CAP is saying 12,500!

Slightly better news from the BMW dealer who came back with 15k.

Both cars I enquirer trading in against are what I would consider to be 'good value' based on dealer prices. Goes to show the market is all over thebplace at the moment.

I think I am going to wait a bit and test the market again in the spring.
