I put the roof down on the key open the boot put the side covers on..... I get out the car take the side covers off putting them in the boot.... closed the roof on the key! can't really see what the problem is

I've got a pair and tbh only use them very occasionally - basically when we are out on a days drive and the weather forecast is dry and sunny. Even then I have to stick a blob of blue-tac next to the 'raise roof button' to prevent the embarrassment of them popping off, which happened twice soon after I'd bought them (fortunately they survived)
