Deal of the Century.

I would never have even contemplated buying them at the price they usually go for but I do think they finish the lowered roof nicely and at that price I would have been daft not to get them.

Considering what there value is... you've got a bargain! Could easily make a bit of profit if you get bored as well  lol

It sometimes surprises me on this forum, how something seemingly unimportant stirs up quite strong emotions.

It's called a forum for a reason. People are allowed to express their opinions.

I even said they're a good buy on my original post, yet people gloss over that and focus on the negatives.

Reminds me of daily mail journalists...

I agree, it always seems to be the same fuckwit that starts it as well, especially when it comes to this subject

Because that's the same as making an electric folding roof redundant :?
I don't own any, but was under the impression that they're fitted/removed by hand (with no tools) in a couple of seconds, which wouldn't render the roof redundant. Perhaps I've got that wrong?
Just means you can't put the roof up without walking around the car taking off bits of plastic :) if you put the roof up with them in they snap

I kind of assumed that's how they worked...seems easy enough to me, and certainly doesn't make the roof redundant

Assuming I had these, I think I'd forget and just close the roof and make the above mistake. Breaking them and render them worthless...

me too.
my memory is bad enough without having something else to remember.
no question they look good when on, but the first time I suddenly decided I need the roof shut I would be greeted by the sound of crumpled plastic, and an outburst of effing and jeffin.

I'd be like, hmm I'm sure I'm forgetting something? Nope, got my phone and wallet... press button... CRACK! Oh. Yeah. Side covers... FFS
