Well no one would believe me so I'd better show the proof. Screen Shot 2018-06-16 at 19.34.56.pngIMG_0296.jpgIMG_0297.jpg The guy meant to put it at a starting bid not buy it now, but I paid before he realised and he honoured it, top bloke.

Nice one😀

Beat me to it. Still too expensive for some plastic. Nearly a tank of V Power.

But bloody well done considering what they are going for.

They make it all look so damn neat! I agree - that's the kind of money I'd want to pay for them, though we all know they sell for four times that

What a bargain! In a few years time these are going too be worth more than our cars.

Only to idiots. Real car guys couldn't care less about a bit of plastic covering the roof mechanism. It actually renders your electric roof pointless.

Nice buy anyway. Worth getting at that price, even if they're going to spend the next year in the boot.

"Real car guys"? There will be a Koeniggsegg owner out there who considers that no real car guy would settle for under 600 bhp per tonne. Horses for courses

Real car guys  not heard that have anything to do with hiding a gap...
Nice one op, even if it's just for car shows, it's way less than the going rate

Real car guys. Mmmmm. Like red soft tops?
:poke:

Does my red soft top affect how the roof works? Nope. So I don't see what you're trying to get at.

Because that's the same as making an electric folding roof redundant :?

Put them on at a car show and you'll come back to them missing

I don't own any, but was under the impression that they're fitted/removed by hand (with no tools) in a couple of seconds, which wouldn't render the roof redundant. Perhaps I've got that wrong?

I think its more a case of remembering.
if you for whatever reason want to put the roof up, you have to remember to pull over somewhere, take them off before putting the roof up.
to me that's a pain, as I often put it back up for what ever reason while in traffic or at lights.
its easy to forget, and then its an issue.

Was having a laugh. But your first comment sounds like sour grapes! Also the point I was poking at was that “real car guys” wouldn’t care about the colour of a soft top! Anyway u can unbunch ur knickers! We’re just having a laugh.

Bargain! You are already in profit to the tune of £400! Pension funds should allow these covers to be in the pot.

I shall be cleaning mine (along with the rest of the car) in the expectation of getting to the Le Mans Classic and back with the roof down and the side covers on. They do make a (small) difference to wind noise and do look good. I have only forgotten to remove mine twice before putting the roof up!

I had a set of these. They went on my car once to take photo's, then I took them off and left them in the boot for a while. Eventually I took them out and put them on a shelf in my garage.

No sour grapes about it. I just don't see the fascination with these
