De-icer damage

Heater on full, press the little de-ice button in its centre and get to work on the outside of the screen with an old plastic cassette tape cover for some truly old school memories 8)

TBH most deicers on your windscreen will be fine Ruby. They've been designed to be fine so you should be good to go

No problem. In the 20 odd years Ive been using de-icer not once have I had any issues whatsover.

hehe i remember the youtube video from when it was broadcasted :)
I think all belgians have issues with their garages, mine is big enough to hold two cars and my bike comfortably and room to spare, but when I back out and i'm not 100% awake, I might end up in the lake a few meters further :(

back on topic:
no more scratching for me either, I too have two deep scratches in my windshield cause of it.
I just use deicer now and take care not to use it on my paintwork, but more as a precaution, haven't seen any negative results from the times a few drups got onto it anyway (cold and shaking grrr)

I've bought some of that glass buffing compound (cerium oxide) along with a fitment for my DA so when the weather improves I can get rid of all the Gary and grit induced scratches.
