well, I got up at 5 am instead of my usual 6 today. Gave me time to check all the servers at work, so i guess it wasn't time entirely wasted. Always messes me up.
What freaked me out was when my computer switched time on me last weekend (when the rest of the world switched over). Good thing I wasn't working that Sunday.
For some reason Verizon jumped the gun last night and switched the time on my phone to Pacific Standard time as of about 9:00PM. I happened to be working on the phone's config at the time (Samsung SCH-i760 with WM6) so I saw the time jump while all of my computers were still showing PDT. It did serve notice that I needed to be thinking about resetting all of my analog clocks but left me with an early start to wondering what time it really was.
I really don't need extra help in feeling befuddled - that just comes naturally anymore :dizzy:
Ducks (FNI told me you like to be called that )... yep, my internal clock is off a bit too. The sun sets too early now and I miss the sunrise on the ride to work in the morning (it's already over the trees). But that'll change here in a few weeks as winter sets in.
I like the change due to the change in driving conditions. It's not as cold in the morning and it's not as hot in the afternoon after work so it's top down for me.
I didn't like driving home today - the sun was almost at the horizon and was absolutely blinding. Too low on the horizon for the sunshades to be useful at all.
Can't wait for the rains to come back later this week and blot that out.

Can anyone tell me why we still have the time changes? I believe that this was do to farmers needing more time to farm their crop and make the most out of the daylight time they had. This also is tied to summer vacation. The farmer needed his kids back on the property to help out. So why do we still have it? I've heard that the new reason is to save energy. Well, if that's the case shouldn't we keep it on the most energy efficent scheduale? I HATE leaving work and it's dark outside... And cold. I freaking hate the cold. I need to move further south.
I was actually wondering about that myself. Why in the hell do we have still have it? Daylight is daylight, it's up to the person to save/use time effectively.
