Isn't there a particular dealership that people use on here for cheaper parts? I'm not sure who it is as I've never used them.

Worth a try though as I know for a fact that they cost the dealer no more than £40+vat!

Think you mean Sopers BMW in Lincoln. 01522690000. Ask for parts and quite the forum to get a discount and free postage.

OK,just phoned them and i could save 50 quid still a whoping 210, think i will go with the drill option ..

i drilled mine on the underside of the lamp about 10mm in from the front edge using a small drill bit around 2 or 3mm & about 4 holes in total, if i ever remove them from the car i'd drill extra holes along the top edge also to give more ventilation.
regards

No m8, the facelift model you can get to them without removing the unit, one hole each end and two more spaced out evenly, underside of the lens,it's easy as thay are only plastic. just be carful of the chuck catching your paintwork.

I did mine over 12 months ago and not a bit of condensation since, and as the only option was to replace the units, what is there to lose ?

You can also get a set of fogs from ECP for about £120 the pair. Or fit blanking plates as I plan to!

Mine are like everybody else's, so I'd be interested to know how you plan to blank them as I may do the same.

Then again my E46 Sport has really discreet small circular fog-lights that aren't misted up, so maybe a blanking plate with a couple of those let into it would be an option.

Thanks!

I will buy a set of blanking plates from BMW. I have not needed the fogs so far and will probably end up putting DRLs there instead.

ok... so i have drilled 3, 4mm holes in each of mine a week ago and still pretty wet, what size holes have you guys that have had success with this mod drilled?

Same as I did mr.torette . I did mine in summer , it took around 24 hours to clear, you could try a hair dryer to assist, mine are still clear so it does work.
