Tell me about it ... I was in Germany last weekend with the X5 and the pollen was nothing I have ever seen before.

I spent all day washing and waxing the Disco3 only to have the wife take it out and cover the front in dead bugs and now a thin layer of pollen... :headbang:

that doesn't look good at all!

Thought the oil seed rape in the field behind our house was bad enough (our dailies are coated in yellow pollen at the moment) but at least that is no issue to paint!

Prevailing wind (and rain ...) is from Scotland to Germany though, so wonder how the pollen are floating against the wind in our direction though ...

Mine is local pollen :)

I thought it was just dust or that blue just shows up the dirt really badly, whatever it is, it's bloody annoying, car only seems to be clean for an hour before it has a film over it again!!
:x

At least that explains what that powder all over my car is. It's been driving me mad for weeks. It's been noticeable within 48 hours of cleaning. I've just moved to a new area and was beginning to think I'd moved to some sort of pollution hotspot. At least it's 'natural' I guess! :?

Is that what it is!! :x

On the south coast last week I was washing my car and within 45 mins had a layer of dust over it, slightly yellow in colour. I thought it was dust as it hasn't rained for so long!

I thought I was the only one with this 'yellow dust' problem!

At least I now know what it is..

Don't know if it's the same round yours but my car is absolutely covered in it. Bright yellow dust, bloody stuff.

Yep, same here. I was going to wash it down but I think we are expecting rain ;-) Although I did intend to wax up the Zed this weekend.

I thought that when we had a huge thunderstorm last week, but although it moves the bulk of it, it still leaves remnants. There's no easy way out you've got to wash it 8)

I've never known pollen to be so bad here in Germany. Of all the years I've been over here it has never been this bad. The car has turned yellow over the last week and thats even with it in the garage. Cleaned it all off yesterday as the weather changed for the worst with heavy rain, this managed to clear the air and the pollen so I did'nt have to battle with it again. Not noticed any defects in the paint work yet!

mine is full of what i thought was dandylion seed stuff

was sat with my house front door open and the house is full of the stuff too

Yeah my rag top is full of the dandylion stuff, I will be out there tomorrow to de-fuzz the thing none of the Royal wedding lark for me :P
