We've tried everything at my mother-in-laws to stop the local cats digging up her plants. You name it, we've tried it and the only thing that worked albeit only for a month was lion crap.
I kid you not, a few choice lion turds dug into the beds kept the local felines at least 2 gardens away.... :roll:
 
You could put some orange peel around your car. According to a local gardening paper here, cats avoid them.

Put a bunch around some popular cat entry points into my garden and so far, I haven't seen a single one for days. I'd give it a shot. Worst case scenario: You'll have to pick up some orange peel.
 
One of my neighbours has covered their garden almost completely in decking, apparently very effective. I hear you mate,there is a dog in our vicinity,that on a nice day they will pi$$ off out and leave said dog in the garden all day to bark-sooooo effing annoying when we sit out in our garden and try to enjoy the sun!

im very suprised at some of the jokey/nasty replies on here about cats........

ive a cat and a dog, a coupe and a soft top so i hope i can see things from both sides

cats roam........ simple, just like birds will fly, cats will roam,its simply nature

if its sitting on your roof i can see the annoyance but some of the comments on here are really a bit ridiculous, its not exactly the most difficult problem in the world to solve

i had the same problem with my first soft top and dealt with it in about 2 hours of the cat taking position on the roof

theres loads of easy and humane ways to stop the cat sitting on the roof.... water pistol, cat deterrent devices etc etc..........

google lions roar, its a product made from the dung from lions and if you put it in your garden it will deter cats from entering as they think there is a big cat in the garden

worked for me, cost a fiver, 1st hit on google ( i imagine the next 20 hits would have worked just as well ), sorted the problem, moved on with my life, found it by typing keep cats away from my garden ( really..... this isnt rocket science ).... some of the comments on here about cats are ridiculous, people really need to understand that were not the only species on this planet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :fuelfire:

so in a nutshell

1 - go to google

2 - google " keep cats away from garden "

3 - pick one of the hundreds of methods available

4 - do it

5 - move on with your day

6 - feel proud that you solved the problem, carry on with life etc etc etc

it just annoys me the amount of ignorant people in this world who resort to violence when they cant solve a problem themselves ( usually because there too stupid to solve it mentally so resort to violence )

this is such a easy problem to solve but somehow resorted to a discussion about harming cats, including site admin with the most ignorant comment ive ever read regarding animals!!!!!! god i thought most z4 owners were educated, obviously not............ anyway not a good representation of the forum or its admin ( or is it???????? )
