Damn & blast

I've ordered some non-runflats already & will get all 4 wheels refurbed after the crack's been repaired, it's only £30 for the repair so not the end of the world.

It'll be very interesting, Rob, to hear what the refurbishers find on close inspection of your other wheels.

Nothing, I hope ... but doubt.

The BMW 5 Series (F10 & F11's) run 19" 326 Alloys too as an upgraded option and on the M sport models (mine inc).

They could be a different offset to the E89, I'm not sure, but I've been driving two of these over the last 4 years and has no issues and a search of the BMW5 forum doesn't seem to show up any members posts of cracking 326 wheels so I wonder if this is particular to the E89 combination, rather than the wheel design itself ?

However, you would have thought there would be far more weight on them with the above vehicle than an with an E89, so is it a weight issue or a power issue ?

On their shared 19" 326 alloys, do the 5 Series and the E89 run the same profile tyres?

That doesn't look like a 30 series profile on the rear, I may be wrong but it looks taller than that.
Doubt it's related to power as according to pastry my 18i couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding

It's booked into the refurbers on Thursday, to pick up Friday. They drill the end of the crack to stop spread & groove before filling with weld-they seemed well versed in the process.
I'm having a different colour, all will be revealed :?

Here you go for 351 & 326 comparison..

Bet it was already there when you bought it. Bloody stealers.

More than likely, it's proving it though
Best not to let this stuff eat you up, it can give you ulcers :gmb:
Rob

Length of time you have had the car it's actually on the dealer to prove it wasn't cracked when they sold it to you.

Don't get it fixed elsewhere they legally have to do it for you unless like I stated they can prove it was not cracked when you drove away

It's really not worth the agro, the dealer is in Wembley & they'd need the car for more than a day-the travel alone would be a nightmare & expensive.
The welded repair is £30 from a local specialist, it's not worth chasing imho
