Daily drive

Z4 is my daily drive and I'm doing about 25,000 miles a year, far as I am concerned best car to do lots of miles in cruise @ 75 mph = 37 mpg lifetime average

My Z is my daily drive and has been for nearly 7 years. Just turned 60,000 on the clock.

However, I am now seriously looking into a 635d to become my daily drive and leave the Z for the summer months only and about 2-3,000 a year. (Anyone have any useful info or advice on the 635d, I'll gladly listen!)

I think it deserves a rest after all the hard work :D

then you can give me your heated seats and have the originals back,as I do use mine all year round :poke:

Daily driver is an E36 Coupe which only has around 70k on the clock. It's a Twingo for the winter (that needs to change!) and the Z4 for high days and holidays.

I have a company 318d saloon, does around 18-20k per annum, the Z comes out at the weekend, and with this weather i cant wait for the end of work today, off down to Salisbury for a friends wedding and the Z is ready to hit the road (and the sun is ready to burn my bald head!)

Z4 is actually the girlfriends car. Replaced a 330i ZHP with the Z4. It's under her name / she paid for it. I just treat it as if it's my toy. I pay for the mods / upgrades to it---and I usually drive it more than she does. It is driven year round. We have not had the Z4 for a year yet, but I estimate around 15,000 miles based on current usage.

My daily driver is a e46 M3 coupe for driving to/from work and light track usage. My city vehicle is either a bicycle or Suzuki GS500F motorcycle.

My winter beater is an e36 M3. (first car I've ever owned.) I'm still driving it currently as I haven't serviced it / oil changed it to put it up in storage yet for the summer.

Also own a e39 540i, but I keep it parked at my parents house---for my father to drive. He was driving an old beat up Mazda pickup truck for the longest time before that. I drive the 540i if I'm ever going on a road trip where I will be driving for more than 4-5 hours, or to my mechanic for servicing.

:D Hope you are getting on alright with the seats!

Have to say the novelty hasn't worn off yet on my new ones yet and I even used them today in 25 degree heat

Daily drive was a 2003 2.5i Z4. After 7+ years and 236K miles, it got totalled.
Now, my daily drive is a 2007 3.0i Z4. After 1 year of ownership, I have put on 25K.

E92 330i is the daily driver, Partner takes the Z4MR to work but it's 5 miles a day tops would be nice to keep the Z4 to under 5K a year.

Will fight the temptation to take it to the south of France for a weeked away....
Why buy a Z4M and not enjoy it as much as you can? Off course I would take the Z4MR for a trip to the south of France. It would be stupid not to do... Why do you want keep the mileage as low as possible? My opinion; The more you drive the car, the more you enjoy it...whatever the mileage. I bought this car for me, not for the resale value...

seats are fine, no problem at all, cheers :) nobody seems to do anything about making them heated oem way  (no retrofit kit)

if you have used your heated seats as you say on 25 degrees, I think you might need to call NHS Direct or seek urgent medical attention

this is brilliant, I am currently checking out Zeds and am planning to buy one asap and it will be my daily drive, so it is good know how many folks use them so much

My coupe is my daily drive and after weeks of pounding the m4and m5, I'm not sure how long it will be! Off to see a very nice Alpina B3 bi-turbo in Newport. If the figures stack up I maybe............

My Zed is purely for fun - so I do about 3,000 per year.
Maybe more this year, because we are going to the south of France this year.

I have a free bus pass - so my main mode of transport is >>>>

Daily drive (and technically my wife's car): a truely unremarkable Focus: CIMG3360a.jpg

They both do about 8k a year, but the Focus gets used for shopping trips or any outing into a crowded car park. The Z4 gets used for more fun outings.

I've got into the habit of it ok now, but I found the 2 car thing really difficult to start with. We 'inherited' a bog standard decade old red Mondeo which was so dull to drive and basic inside compared to the Mondeo ST I had at the time. Picking up the keys to go to work each morning it was seriously difficult at times to take the red one. The only thing really that made me do so was that the ST was blocked in the garage by the other one.
What cracked it was getting an interesting '2nd car' for a while. We swapped the red Mondeo for a Puma which was such fun to drive I had no problems taking the smaller more economical one of the two then.

Just changed the daily driver.... go down to pick it up next week.... can't wait
