Just bored tonight and had a look on the BMW website.

There are 5 M coupes for sale

First one 80k 56 plate £16,692

Those prices are very strong.. The thrid and forth are at hexagon so can be ignored really, stupid prices. But surely they're also having a laugh with the first one??

I know BMW add a fair wack but this is good news for M coupe owners? Signs of things to come? What do you think?
 
Excellent news :) In a world of conformist looking cars, the zed still holds its own to new designs and the performance is always going to be enough for most folks.
£16k gets you an awful lot of car so I'm not surprised they are holding value.

The 3.0 coupe is also retaining value, so all in all not a bad time for the z4coupe, I don't know at what point cars become classic/future classics but the zmc is surely heading that way if not there already :driving:
 
I always buy private just because i like to meet the previous owner & get a feel for how its been treated . Once its been through the sanitisation of a dealership its easy to mask the flaws .
Hexagon may well be galactic on prices but this is the bargain of the summer up to now http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=53945 :o no nav but still tasty for sub £11k

At this price would be tempting run this alongside the zmc for the summer :driving:
 
That roadster is a huge bargain......That should be snapped up and if i was in the market it would be on the drive now..


Its good to see "M" prices shoring up after a dip last year....

Maybe the coupe will go the same way as the Z3M coupe within a few years ?
 
I paid £16,250 (this month) for my 2007 MR, 21k miles, full bmw history and top spec.

I was only £3k over my initial budget, but come on....... its a gem!!!

It's not BMW that add a fair wack - it's the individual dealer who sets the advertised price. Of course no body has to pay the windscreen price and it's up to an individual purchaser to negotiate.
 
If you check out eBay, there's LOTS of Coupes for sale as well
 
I agree Tom, those prices are ridiculous.

To put it into perspective, you saw what my car was like, and I sold it for £11,750 more than 18 months ago!
 
True but I suppose BMW set a president for the private market. The market does seem to fluctuate and were in a great heat wave right now and summer prices are always stronger.

But what baffles me is I've owned mine two years and these prices are the same as when I was looking yet the cars are two years older and have average miles extra on top. If this is the case the ///M could become a good car that isn't loosing a huge amount of money. I paid £500 more for mine than that 80k at the top and mine had half the miles. Also I wouldn't pay extra with the mods it has having e46 wheels reduces the value in my mind as they are common as muck so easy to get hold of. Yet although 224s aren't bmws finest wheels just over 2500 ///Ms were brought to the uk roadies and coupes so they are harder to get hold of.

Just glad prices seem to be good and the cars are obviously sort after. I was thinking of selling up in the next 6 months because I'm planning on moving abroad but I might just put it in storage if prices stay strong. Keep it for when I come back. Because by the time I get back it will be harder and harder to find a car as good as I think mine is.
 
So if you trade yours in at Hexagon, does that mean you get a massive trade in as well I wonder :?
 
Can't imagine anyone being that happy to get a trade of 15 and them selling at 30 ...
 
I can see them going the same way as the Z3MC, i.e. higher mileage examples (>80k) will be significantly cheaper than lower mileage examples (<50k). At the moment there is maybe a £5k difference between the two (£13k for higher mileage and £18k for the best low mileage examples). Within 3-5 years I can see this difference being £10k, with the lower mileage prices not moving much and higher mileage cars continuing to fall in value.
 
Will drop to about 5-6. The decent ones will always get the money.

If you look at my golf, you can get an eBay job for 1k but mine has been valued at 10 now.
