Cup Holders - anyone else interested?

Update on my order from BMWMINISTYLE.
ABSOLUTE SH£TE SERVICE.
Ordered and payed with paypal on the 29th had to email them to find out where they were,was told that they forgot to process my order but as a way of apology would send them special delivery.Got an email on the 4th saying they were dispatched,still not received them.
Email sent today to someone called Roger but no reply yet.
Not very impressed to say the least :thumbsdown: :thumbsdown: :thumbsdown: :thumbsdown: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
 
Wow, I'm surprised and sorry to hear that. Roger was pretty good when we did a bulk Cruise Control purchase. I can only think that there is a problem due to his family member falling ill and that is also why this cup holder deal has been delayed. Anyway, that is unacceptable service, you are right to be upset. I tell you what, if you like, I can't promise anything, but if you fancy sending me your details in a PM I will email Roger and advise him that this bad service may affect any future business from this forum - after all we need to stick together! Can't promise anything but I'm happy to try.....
 
I have already contacted Roger and contacted the company again last night.If the parts donot arrive today i will be cancelling my order.I dont see a family crisis being much of an excuse to be honest unless the company is run by one person.
To be honest i suspect they dont/cant get all parts and are bullsh£tting about forgot to post/lost in post etc,i may be wrong but you have to admit its not a good start to a group buy.Do you know if anyone else has purchased or is waiting on delivery. :thumbsdown: :thumbsdown: :thumbsdown: :thumbsdown:
 
I'm confused, have you placed an order already as part of this group buy? If so, the group buy has not been implemented yet, hence my previous messages of Roger having to adjust his website to accomodate the group buy and that I will let everyone know once this has been completed. Our last group buy with him (for cruise control) went smoothly (once it had been implemented on the website).

The current status of the group buy is as per my previous update:

Mate, I understand and agree with your frustration, whether it is part of a group buy or not, that kind of service is not acceptable. Anyway, my offer still stands to try send him an email on your behalf if you like.

As for everyone else, just to confirm, as soon as Bmwministyle lets me know the dates from which they will drop the prices on the site for the cup holders, I'll let you all know. As per last time, they will run it as a special for one week.
 
Have you actually looked at the website?.They are advertising the cup holders for 69.99 and in stock.
Dont really see what you sending him an email will do as i have already done this and sent the company one as well,still no response from either,which as previously stated is p£ss poor no matter what the circumstances.As for sending them special delivery,they were allegedly shipped 5 days ago and they are still not here.If they are not here by end of play tomorrow i will be contacting paypal.
I really dont understand why you are waiting to tell people about the price drop as on the website they are being sold at the 69.99 price + free p+p.
 
Hey mate, some people want only one side (driver or passenger) and at the moment "singles" are not the correct agreed price on the site. For the sake of simplicity (and given that we are all buying as a group) I decided it would be best to tell everyone when the site is ready to accomodate all requests (not just for the people buying pairs). Also, there are other issues such as being able to choose the colour of the faceplates online (which is currently not an option), in a nutshell I want Roger to "iron out" all these issues so that everyone can order trouble free and around the same time. These are the issues I was referring to when I said that the site is currently not ready for the group buy. Hope this makes sense. :D
 
Have just had a reply from BMWMINISTYLE,they think my order has got lost in the post,but i have never received a tracking number for special delivery!.
To cut a long story short i have told them if my delivery is not resent tomorrow at the latest i want a full refund.In my honest opinion this is the first and last time i will be using these jokers :thumbsdown: :thumbsdown: :thumbsdown: :thumbsdown: :thumbsdown: :thumbsdown: .
 
Well after about 10 emails i finally received my cupholders today.Personally i think BMWMINISTYLE really need to get there act together a bit better.Dont exactly know what happened to my order apart from the original order was not processed till i asked where they were,was then promised special delivery but never received a tracking number,was then told item could be lost,asked them for a refund,items appeared today posted 1st class from Sopers of Lincoln on the 7th February.
So all in all i got what i asked for but not very confidence inspiring :roll: :roll:
 
Just an update for everyone. The guy from Bmwministlye has been sending me emails saying that they are having technical difficulties setting this up on the website, he apologises and is working on it. All I can say is sorry chaps and I'll pass on the updates. By the way, the price for both sides is currently accurate on his site (£69.99 including shipping) so those of you who wanted both sides I guess could place their order anyway. The only issue I see is that you can't choose the colour of the faceplate (either grey or black) and so I assume they are shipping out black by default (which is what most people want). I will give him until next week and then start thinking of alternatives perhaps, not sure how everyone else feels?

In the meantime I will keep passing on any updates I receive...... :headbang:

Quick summary:
The best price we could get is from Bmwministyle, we are waiting for him to setup the agreed prices on the website so that we can all make our individual orders. He is having technical difficulties with his website and the IT guys keep telling him a few more hours etc. If you are after both cup holders, they are already the agreed price on the site and so you can order, if you want just one, then that price has not been amended yet.

As soon as I get confirmation from him that all is done, I will let everyone else know, at the moment he is hoping by Monday but no gaurantees.
 
Playing catch up here and had seen this thread ages ago.. then forgetting ab it. Sounds good as I need a pair of cupholders. BMW were outta stock in 2011 as supplier had gone under. Any idea if it's the case they've been replaced by new supplier?

has anyone bought and fitted these cup holders, my wife has just bought me a z4 coupe 3.0 si as an aniversary present and i want to fit them any feedback would be usefull :D
 
Did mine yesterday, really easy to install, 15 minute job, if you search ' cupholders + half finished ' you will see how easy, good luck :thumbsup:

Hi everyone, once again sorry for the delay in this. Bmwministyle cannot say when they will be able to do the correct price update for the single cup holder and so I have moved on to "Plan B".

Jamie at Sopers came in at £36.78 for 1 side (so not much more than Bmwministyle at £34.99) and that price includes VAT and Delivery. So those of you that want to order from him, please call him on this number: 01522 690000 and he will take you order over the phone including your Credit Card details (I have confirmed with him today that all is in place).

For those of you that want both sides, as I have said before, Bmwministyle's site is showing the correct Price for that already (£69.99) and so you can order it with them online, or if you prefer, you can order it from Jamie at Sopers at £73.55 - the choice is yours. If ordering from Bmwministyle, when the order is placed, there is an option at the end to add notes. Here you can specify the colour for the face plates i.e. grey or black.

Apologies that this group buy didn't go smoothly or quickly, unfortunately it was out of my hands and I wanted to give Bmwministyle the chance before just abandoning them as they have been good to us in the past and they always give us the best prices. They are in fact still working on the issue so I will let you know if and when it gets resolved, but in the meantime, you have another option in order to move forward.
