Nargh - not changed my opinion and I'm not wishing to be harsh.
They are a beautiful wheel and a great looking car. The combination looks stunning, but IMHO the rears are too far out and the tyres do look stretched out on the rims. Looking at the top of the third photo the rim seems way firhter out than the tyre wall

Hey, I think the CSL wheels look great on a z4 and whilst maybe a little wide for my liking your car looks great with them on!
Although, It really could do with a suspension drop as it looks about ready for some offroading but then looking at the offset of the rear wheels you would have rubbing issues. There's miles more offset on those rears than i've got with the z4m wheels on a stanard z4. I jacked one of my wheels up the other day to see just how much clearance i have in the rear arches and i've literally got 1mm at most.
Machining some material won't wause any strength issues if done properly and if you were worried you could remove material off the cars wheel hub mating surface aswell/instead. Machining will not change the properties of the material and safety factors in the design will more than compensate for minimal material removal that you will be doing oh and smooth over any sharp edges to aviod stress concentraitons. If my z4m wheels hadn't have fitted i'd have taken half the requred material depth off one surface on half off the other.
The tyres do appear to be stretched looking at the angle of the tyre sidewall, not a problem though so long as you watch out for the curbs and i think it's quite a sporty look. I've seen tyres stretched way more than that. Just because the tyres are the same size as standard CSL's doesn't mean the rim width is exactly the same.

Fair comment Jeeper, since fitting them i have enquired about machining the inside of the wheel centre to bring them in a few mm. I will be taking a wheel down in the next few days for them to look at to see what they can do. This will be 3-5mm taken off if i go ahead with it which should bring them just level or inside the arch. However, i do not agree with the tyres looking stretched. I like the look with a slight angle to the tyre wall and any wider wouldn't look right in my opinion.

Hmmm these wheels have certainly polarised opinions on here. I like them, just the tyres look stretched a bit, there is no kerb protection at all, but I suppose 265/30 is the ideal size, so not so sure why they look stretched.

Yea, they seem to be attracting mixed opinions.lol. They are a bit unprotected for kerbing. But i'm careful and hopefully i'll be the kerb protection .

The lack of kerb protection is one of the reasons I got rid of my CSLs. If I'd have kept them, I'd have been looking at 245/35/19 fronts and 285/30/19 rears. The 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 were a 2-3% undersized compared to stock on a Z4MC anyway.
