CSL or M6 19s? Opinions welcome (new pics p.3).....

You cannot go wrong with either wheel style. They're both pretty sexy.

I went with my choice at the time because there weren't too many Zeds out there with them (and I like the style). Since that time, I think they're a little too common now. :(

I really like the M6 rims on the black Z, the silver one I'm not too convinced... maybe it's just the picture but not a very good look

M6 wheels on a red coupe or roadster look fantastic  They would be my choice if I was to change my wheels.

CSLs look fantastic on coupes not as keen on them on roadsters but the replicas don't look as good as the originals.

So.... on a silver roadster, if you go CSLs try to get replicas that look as near as possible to originals :)

Yup, the rear wheels are wider than the fronts and the rear wheels also have a deeper dish ie the distance from the hub to the outer rim is greater.

19" M6 Wheels are what I have chosen to go on my Z when I get it. Love the style and it was those pictures of the black z4 from Modbargins that helped me decide. Remember though that the modbargins z4 has also been lowered. Attached are M6 wheels on a Alpine White Z4 which does look good I must admit and also M6 wheels on a standard black roadster with stock sport suspension. Notice the difference between the standard Z and the lowered one, not nearly as smart. Many people do say you do not get the 4x4 look so much with the M6 wheels due to the design, I do slightly see where there coming from but a drop does finish them off perfectly.

I've got CSL reps staggered with wider rears on my coupe now and it looks amazing. The reps are bloody heavy though, nearly as heavy as the standard wheels with rft's.

Just need to get a decent digital camera to capture the beauty.

Thanks to you all for the pics and advice.

I really like the M6 wheels but feel they may be slighty too "blingy" on a silver car so feel I may opt for some CSLs. However, the latter scare me as they look like a right PITA the clean.

Hmm, will give it some thought. I still really fancy a set of 19" 335 wheels.....

That would be my choice too

Although re-reading your original post, you could just get your 108s refurbed (if they need it?) and use normal tyres on them, you don't need to change your wheels you know? How about black/very dark 108s with normal rubber :sweetheart:

CSL wheels everytime. I think the M6 wheels are pretty hideous and far to Max Power for my liking. They just about look good on the M6, let alone anything else. If i had the money burning a hole in my pocket, it would be CSL's for me!

Here is mine, sorry for the bad quality mobile pic-

Looks flipping gorgeous in the flesh, I can't believe how much difference the wheels make.

the silver ones look smaller and perhaps why they're not quite right. Maybe the black is fitted with 19's and the silver on 18's. But i would agree that even so... the M6's suit black far more than silver, which is a great shame since my Z is silver and I was about to shell out on M6's... hmmm back to the drawing board!
