CSL or M6 19s? Opinions welcome (new pics p.3).....

Appears the time has come for one new rear tyre. Recently been quoted £220 for a potenza which is astromical considering I'm not a fan of RFTs. So, been toying with the idea of fitting new alloys and opting for not RFTs. Quite like the look of CSLs, however I'm also liking the M6 rims too. Both will be staggered fitment.

I've searched the forum but struggling to fid any decent pics of roadsters running either in 19" guise. Therefore, was hoping some of you seasoned forum members may know of the right please to find the said pics or if your feeling particularly helpful was hoping you may actually post some pics.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Skilby. Are they the staggered fitment as supplied by Velocity motoring (the ones with the deeper rear dish)?

nah they are just standard fitment all round, i got the impression at the time of purchase that you could only get the staggered fitment for the Z4M....although i think thats wrong :?

anyway quite happy with the look, certainly better that the standard 17" wheels it came with IMO :D

£850 with the tyres from Auto(somethink) in Bolton

Just down the road from you in South Manchester in that case.

Your car certainly does look unique.

Cheers for the pics.

Thanks Curtis. You say theyre OEM BMW? HOw did yo get them to fit on the basis that has the same HUBs as a 3.0?

Further, managed to find a fair few pics of M6 rims on roadsters and have to say they look impressive, albeit I think they may have a slight tinge of "chav" slapped across them......

Yey  or ney?

Glad you spotted that point!

The Alpina didn't have a LSD so I bolted in an E46 M3 back axle and front hubs/carriers etc. Nowadays you can get aftermarket LSD's more easily. The other problem was that I couldn't get the AP calipers to fit behind the Alpina alloys so I killed two birds with one stone.

I quite like the M6 alloys on the Z4 especially in the colour combo you've shown.

I like the design, especially with the black Z but I'd say they're a bit too big in those pics. You'd have to make sure your brakes look nice and shiney with those wheels too :poke:

Perhaps too "bling" on a silver car, sadly theyre only available in that shadow gloss type finish.

As such, I may now consider different wheels seeing as the car is silver!

CSLs look great. M6 look awesome with black/red body.
Here is my setup...CSL reps/ 19''/ Staggered

The CSL's for sure but the reps don't cut it for me, you've got to have the staggered aet up like on curtis's car which requires more mods...
