Driving down a straight road, a car just drove across the road to get to a road on the other side. Their view was obstructed by traffic, so they just went for it! Managed to break to about 10 mph so wasn't a bad accident in any way. :?

Apparently good chance the insurance wont cover the wrap as their garages don't do that or something like that! Sucky!

Glad no one was hurt though, and was a tame crash. Other driver was very apologetic and seemed nice enough.

Ouch, glad no one hurt.

But if you informed your insurance of your wrap then they will have to pay to get it replaced.

So get it fixed on your insurance and they recover the costs from the 3rd party insurance.

My friend told me to get a quote at my prefered garage and ask insurance company to use that which is what I'm doing. Totally Dynamic do front bumper + grill replacements so am getting a quote from them to get it all replaced, hopefully that will be the end of it!

Ouch. You had it wrapped so recently I imagine the same company can sort it out right?

(once you've had a new bumper fitted obv)

Maybe a chance to pay a bit and get an M front :fuelfire:

Damn, sorry to see that. Just goes to show that no matter how careful you may be, somebody else can still spoil all your hard work. Hopefully it's just a new bumper and front end wrap.

Can anyone tell me what colour my car is so I make sure they put the right colour one on underneath the wrap? It's this colour:

(Not gun metal I know that)

All depends on insurance company. When I had my mr2 with lots of mods I declared them all and they said that's fine I'm covered BUT if I have a claim they will replace them with standard parts. Ie if I needed a new front bumper they'd only cover me to put a standard one on.

I took the risk as I'd bought the car with the body kit already on so not hard cash out of my pocket, and luckily I never needed to claim anyway.

So even through you declare mods such as the wrap doesn't always mean they'll replace it like for like. Probably in the small print somewhere, some companies might, some may not I guess. They informed me over the phone whilst I was declaring the mods.

This is what most companies say, although as it will be third party paying I would push for it.

Agree'd, as it's a third party paying, I'd want it replaced like for like.

Why should you be out of pocket for someone elses mistake at the end of the day?

Tommy, if it's the same colour as mine, believe it is, it's titanium silver.

Glad that no one was hurt and hope you get it sorted soon.

(Interesting crack though; it's almost perpendicular to the edge)
