Cruise Control - Who wants? Trying to get bulk buy discount

I have to say slightly disappointed in what they are offering, it's less than 10% although postage is included.

Sorry, I'm out, I was hoping for a bit more.
 
I will take one,i just need to check if i need the loom,my car was reg in April 2005 but i need to check the build date. I think it was built before October 2004.
I wiil confirm on Sat.

I'm still in and keen to get cruise control added. Had it on my 3 series and really miss it on the zed :(

If only they did it on the steering wheel like the 3 series....
 
Hey Everyone,

I have had a quote back from bmwministyle. At first they quoted £16-90 per loom and £60 per stalk but that included bulk delivery to one address. The cost of the part including Individual delivery to each person will be £16-90 per loom (he'll post this for free as its a small item) but the Stalk will be £62. So there we go, not much difference in the price but he did explain that his margins are very tight as he buys from the main BMW Dealers. Given that he is very nearly almost matching the price that a dealer is giving us (and he still has to buy it from a dealer) I think he is doing the best price he can. He is happy for us to always contact him in the future (whether we do this deal or not) for any other items and he will always try give us his best price.

I'm waiting for one other quote (which should come in tomorrow) but I am happy to go with the rest of the group on whatever they decide. Ill send out another message as soon as I get the other quote.

I enquired from another dealer for you guys, and the prices for a group buy are:

Loom £19.43 inc Vat
Switch £66.24 inc Vat

so Jamie's prices were very good :)

Navid - yeah Jamie did try to get the best deal. Margins are tight

Hey Everyone,

I was waiting for a response from two other places (one of them a dealer) and as of yet they have not come back to me. I have to say that so far any dealings I have had with a BMW dealer (for this group purchase and for other issues with my car) has been pretty bad. :thumbsdown: Seems like they don't really care or need your business - thats just the impression I get!

Anyway {breath}, moving on, I'm happy to get the ball rolling with the responses we do have. I guess it's between Sopers and Bmwministyle (as the price is virtually the same). Personally, I feel the dealers make enough money (mainly by ripping people off), and given that Bmwministyle is still buying from a dealer and giving us almost the same price as the dealer, I think they are genuinely interested in trying to create a long term relationship with us for any future items/requests........ so I would prefer to go with Bmwministyle, but I am happy to go with whatever the rest of the group decides.

Are BMWministyle quoting that price for the group order? We're down a few since last check. I'll send a PM round tomorrow to get things moving again and hopefully confirm numbers :thumbsup:

Have you got a contact who can sort out multiple payments and addresses etc?

Yeah the original price was based on a group order but lets confirm numbers and I'm sure they will still honour the price. Yes the person I spoke to said that to make things easier (for ordering purposes) he would probably just lower the price on their website for those two items and run it as a "special" so that each of us can make our indivdual purchases online i.e. indvidual payments and addresses etc
 
Hey Adam, do we have the final list/numbers yet? Then I can go to the guy at Bmwministyle and see if the he'll still do it with whatever numbers we have.....
