C'mon - get a grip and get this working. It's only marginally harder than opening the door. The suspense is killing me.

3) Swap out the switch with another used where it's known to work to eliminate that.

Bet he's got several of those laying about....... :poke:

My typo gave you that opening. I meant another 'user' as in swap out with a fellow Z4 driver that has one that works on their Zed and see what happens. Real hard to take the switch back the the dealer without something substantial as proof.

NOOOOOO

still doesnt work, All i can think off is that the CC switch is faulty.

Anyone localish (an hour) to taunton with one mind me driving over and trying yours out?

CJ10Jeeper you have PM..

slightly dubious adding to this thread but here it goes :?

I installed the cruise control yesterday, took about 15 mins including cutting the cowl

I drove to work this morning, enganged cruise control - all worked fine (great!)

But I've noticed that the data/info has changed on the onboard computer as i now only have

1.average MPH
2.temp
3.range
4. average MPG

The clock seems to have disappeared and the average MPG doesnt display numbers just the default _ _ . _ _ lines that stay like this even if i depress the BCD button on the steering wheel

Anyone else had this issue?

Disconnect the battery for 30 minutes to perform a full reset.

Did you disconnect the battery whilst fitting the CC?

yes, I followed the instructions to the letter from the forum guide - I'll give the battery / reset a go tonight

Sorry for late reply - disconnecting the battery didnt turn off/reset the airbag light so i had to take it to a dealer to reset it - all fine now

You didn't mention the airbag light?

too many mods in too short a time

Problem after cruise control fitting - didnt have all OBC features - yes a 30 min battery disconnect / reconnect sorted this

Problem after MFSW fitting - airbag light on - reset at dealers sorted this

in short, everything is now working fine
