Crashed the Z4 (E89) this morning.

Driving along in a 50 MPH at about 35 MPH with 2 other cars minding my own business.
Went past a speed camera, looked in my mirror as you do to make sure it doesn't flash, look in front and the two cars in front had stopped suddenly.
The car in front decided to turn right at the last moment, car in between us slammed on as the car turned, I had no where to go and hit her at about 15MPH at the most.
She said she didn't see the car indicating as the sun was in her eyes and her passenger had to tell her to stop as the car in front stopped to turn right.
Airbags didn't deploy so it wasn't that hard. But the damage to the front of the car is amazing.
Looking at the back of the car I hit there isn't much damage.
Meanwhile the guy turning right drove off not realising the carnage left behind.
I know it was my fault as I ran into the back of the car in front but still peeved.
I'll get some pictures up when I can.
 
Can you sort it without going thru insurance? Is the damage to your front end that bad? I assume the bonnet is crumpled too?

:( main thing is you're unhurt.

Cars are designed to crumple at the front so it takes the force and not the occupants.

Had some very close calls many years ago, so out of habit leave almost 3 to 4 times the gap most do... sometimes pisses off those behind, though has saved my bacon many times when I'm checking out the eye candy...
 
Sorry to hear that, but all credit to you for not trying to shift the fault. Despite our best efforts accidents do happen.

Where did it happen?
