Good result, I wonder if I can get BMW to replace my perfect 17" wheels for some 326M ones too, don't mind paying the fourth either :D

I'm pretty chuffed, but I do still love the look of the 296 wheels, when they are clean and shiny, they look amazing and look very very good...

I will post some pics of the new ones when they are on......

The Customer Service Manager I have been dealing with is [email protected]. He was appointed by Tim Abbotts office and is meant to be fairly high up in customer relations, so if anyone wants his number, I have that also.....

Well done mate, I'm pleased for you. I put some non-RFT tyres on mine the other week and was told that one of my 296's had a bad flat spot, I've already had one changed under warranty. I'm not sure what to do about this as I've only had the car since June and I know for sure I haven't fit any major pot holes as I avoid them like the plaque. Any advice lads?

I should get my front and rear undamaged 296's back tomorrow, so if you want them for a nominal sum, am happy to sort anyone out if it comes to it....I am paying £600 for the one wheel, so anything back would help.....

What did warranty say about the flat spot? No go?

Hi Nick

Good news that. Can you send me the number of yer man at BMW. I now have another wheel that this time has got no cracks yet but is supposedly bent. Clearly these wheels are not fit for purpose and we all know this for sure  . Personally I have had enough of this crap and want the wheels changed altogether, or will take further action.

Hi iwatchlive,

Same thing here. Had one cracked wheel replaced and now I'm being told that one has a bad flat spot. :x

They paid for 3 (326 M Sports) and I paid for one wheel.....wasn't too bad, £535. They picked up the tracking, balancing etc etc too

Didn't like the wheels at first but now am really into them. I did send you a message if you wanted that guys number

Is there a simpler way to take a pic with your iPhone and post them on he as opposed to sending them to photo bucket etc etc??

I feel like your whore sending pics that you ask me to take of myself!!

I think 1 is odd 2 is way off.

My last 2 z4 had the split rim 18's and had corrossion issues, simple stone hitting the outer part caused corrosion to go under the clear laquor like a snail eating lettuce.

my 06 had both rears change free
my 08 had all 4 changed last year and had 2 new fronts this year all free under wrty.

so if its a crack due to poor manufacture or design its not you fault and BMW problem. Get others involved with the same issue and force an invetigation.

Mine was a known issue aftter some time and even though I had them on the 2nd zd4 (not by choice but they look geat when not corroded lol) I was lucky that non of my wheels had ever been kerbed not a mark other than normal driving ware and tare like stone chips. BMW do not supply touch up paint so I could not prevent the corrosion or to reduce the scale of it.
