Coupe V Roadster ;)

Those are some great pictures... both cars look great in the right conditions... roadster with the roof down, coupe in winter

Maybe a coupe with a glass retractable sunroof is a good comprimise?!

Having had the chance to sample Lucy's stealthy coupe you can tell the coupe chasis is much less wobbly and the later 3.0 N52 engine is a gem - I was very impressed!. The coupes composure was most obvious on poorer road surfaces where the roadster will tend get a bit jiggly (both have bridgestone run flats and 18" 108's). It prompted me to buy a strut brace when I got home which has helped sharpen up the front end and add a bit of stiffness where it was needed.

I drove a coupe last year, but i didnt find it it drove different to my own car... it didnt feel heavier either (which is what i was expecting)

yep, great pics........and yeah, BEAUTIFUL cars, both of 'em! if you don't mind Lucy I'll pop one of them onto my desktop background for a while (I am firmly in the Roadster camp tho  ).

Thank you, Kipper! And not a problem. I could email you a full sized picture for your background if you want. Just drop me a PM or something :)

Yes they are lovely photos and they got me thinking. The roadster reminds me of the Austin Healey while the coupe makes me think of the Ford Capri :poke:

Greta pics guys. Love shots 2 and 4
+1 for one day owning both in M flavour too :D

quite an unfair comparison Lucy, the black car is shiny and the roadster needs a polish.... I'd take them both...

The XCoupe concept car was shown at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2001, this was two years before the launch of the Z4 Roadster, this was introduced in September 2003

I love both cars, all in BMW did a fantastic job of designing 2 quite different cars that literally seem to divide and consolidate opinion all at the same time :) for me, its the Roadster only because I've not had one yet. The coupe is achingly pretty though imo.
