Coupe owners, upgraded to?

0-60 time in the focus will be down to traction off the line. So from what you have said about the 1/4 mile the Z4m would beat it on a rolling start :driving:

I was surprised how quick the Z4M roadster felt when I first got it in comparrison to my TT RS, you have to rev it a little more though.

@tomscott
fwiw here's my take on your current dilemma tom :wink: time moves on fast , get over the MC , its gone now & as you rightly point out you would need a much deeper bucket of £ to get back to where you left off :( also as you most likely know there is very little out there in the marketplace right now that has the quirky looks of a E86 along with a fair amount of prestige & car park kudos 8)
ive had a ///M , very nice it was & will be back in one at some point but ive also had a good number of Si Sport & whether 85 or 86 imo they are unrivalled in the marketplace for the £ you need to invest for what you get in return ( predominantly problem free ,decent performance & virtually zero depreciation )
So why not pick up a decent 75k /90k Si coupe ( or even a roady :o :roll: ) around £7500 / £8500 that may not tick every one of your boxes but should at least re connect you to enjoying a daily drive that is also capable of sporty weekend runs , still look good on a hotel car park & shouldn't cost much to fettle , maintain & run whilst pondering your next move :wink: throwing big dollars into a E89 may provide some initial spirit & many trinkets but ultimately not give you what you really want :thumbsup:

I've just done something completely pointless but I thought I'd share it any way :D
I've been on autotrader and selected the search criteria in accordance with my coupe when I bought it too see what there is on offer now.

The search criteria were Maximum 4 years old, coupe, 2 seats maximum, maximum price 17k (my coupe was 14k but I'm taking in to account inflation l) and engine size 2.2 minimum. So guess how many cars I have a choice of?

1, yes only one car is listed with the criteria I set on the search and it's a Nissan 370Z.

So there you go, the 370z is the only way to upgrade to a newer coupe of a similar price bracket to the Z4 coupe 4 years ago when I bought it.
