That's actually pretty good IMHO for a 3 litre sports car. Does it depend on the age of the car too? i.e. were engine revisions completed during the Coupe's life?

The engine revisions for the Z4 line-up happened in 2006 which is the year the coupe came out (with the new engines). Power upped from 231 HP to 265. Economy figures are slightly higher on paper though can't comment on real world.
The engine stop-start technology is the "efficient dynamics" thing I think and wasn't introduced until a couple of years ago. It certainly won't feature on any BMW on a 56-plate. Not sure if they actually put them into production on the last old-shape z4's produced before the current model (which I think does have the stop-start but could be wrong)
