CORONA VIRUS

Just had an email from Apex Race Parts that my arc8 hyper black alloys ET30 @ ET25 are delayed a month, MAY at the earliest as Corona Virus has impacted production output. Think it might be best to disinfect them before I handle the wheels, Is anyone experiencing problems with parts etc ?

Yes, I work in IT and a lot of parts are made in China. We are seeing delays on orders and no ETA which is frustrating.

Waiting for an 11/16 28tpi die - its only to restore the thread that holds the steering wheel on :x - dumper not Zed but that's the only bright side. Ordered about three weeks ago and not even posted yet - April delivery no doubt

You do know they are still on holiday, right. They are due to come back to work next week. That's when we will see how much impact this has on production... Which may be significant based upon the custom of travelling home for the holidays and travel being restricted now. I would definitely consider disinfecting anything delivered from China right now.

Some of the factories I deal with in China have only just started work again due to this virus! So yes there are delays.

It looks like I’ll just have to sit and wait until the factories in China start production again. No big deal I got a few other Mods to keep me occupied until the alloys arrive.

So I work for a big UK Motorhome dealership.
Two of our biggest brands are built in Italy and then Spain.
Safe to say we won't be getting any more shipments anytime soon!

Forgot about this thread - my die arrived last week so only a month delay. No doubt made in Wuhan so first out once they got back to work.

Its packed in a plastic clip seal bag inside a clip closed plastic box - should I open it in a bowl of Jayes Fluid? :?

Yes I know its long dead!

Is that bad news for other motorists?
 :o

I couldn't even buy yeast at the supermarket tonight. That and flour completely out

The Apex arc 8 are now back in production and I’m expecting delivery in early June, but the Strong Strut brace I’ve ordered from Arizona in now stuck in U.K. customs because the staff won’t touch the packaging :headbang:
