Come on...you could have a lovely 2-hour drive over some lovely roads in the Peak District (okay, and some no-so-lovely ones getting there, unless you go via Hebden Bridge and miss out all of the motorway/Manchesta area :P ).

If you really, really, really don't want to leave Lancastershire, then maybe I can pick them up and meet you somewhere like Lymm on the way back? Of course assuming you're both happy with a scouser picking up something you've already paid for :rofl:
 
That is very Kind of you Mr Five, and Lymm is a lot easier to stomach, as my refurb guy is in wigan, If it's not massively out your way and you didn't mind then ill pay John and your fuel and could collect at at time to suit you both it would be very much appreciated!
 
I'll be coming from south Liverpool, via Knutsford & Buxton (assuming we don't see another dump of snow), so M1 is probably well past where I'd want to go. But I'm happy to meet up anywhere around Matlock.

I'll probably go back via Hathersage to the Snake Road, or Bakewell to Chapel-en-le-Frith (depending on the day), and then due West back towards Liverpool.

I can either do Saturdays (as long as I'm back by 5pm), or Sundays (can leave any time after 11am)...or weekday evenings, leaving after 6pm due to work.

Will aim for 10:30...might be earlier/later depending how much gin I drink tonight...but I'll post on here if the ETA changes significantly.

I'd expect to be back around the Lymm services about 12:30-13:00 assuming the traffic isn't terrible, so let me know where you'd like to meet somewhere towards Wigan on the M6 corridor (as I can turn off onto the M58 and head back to Liverpool)...otherwise I can keep the tyres in the back of the car until later in the day, or Sunday.

Don't worry, they're not the correct size for my 320D (keep an eye out for a F31 320D M-Sport Touring in Estoril Blue)...and it's got new tyres on anyway :P

You've failed to spot my cunning plan to create a diversion so that your workshop is left unattended for my mates in shell-suits & curly wigs to 'peruse' :P

Of course, the downsides to that plan are:
  1. I don't know exactly where you workshop is
  2. I ain't got no mates
