This is the drivers door handle of my keyless open and ignition comfort access Zed - no ridges etc. The door unlocks as you slip your fingertips underneath the handle, just about where the LED's are.

How do you lock it?

If so, it should unlock as you walk near. I had a car a few years ago that had that 'smart access'. Unlocked at you got within 6 feet of the car, then locked as you walked away. It was a ferkin nightmare, cos you didn't know whether it was locked or not. If you walked near to check it would unlock anyway, so no help. Only car I've ever owned that needed two people to check if it was locked. I did manage to sort it, as it had auto fold mirrors, so looked at the mirrors. If they were folded, it was locked. :roll:

Our car is the same and I just look at the indicators flashing

You can set the time before the car autolocks in iDrive options, you can also turn off comfort access.
As for the security issues regarding it they are unfounded, the key only works if it is right next to the car so the range is short, too short for anyone with a range booster to access it, mine live in a small metal key box anyway.
