Hi guys
I know there has been loads of posts about coilovers but i can't really find answers to what i'm looking for
I'm looking to drop the car about 15 to 20 mm not much just want to get it sitting nice (don't like them when there on there arse)
so i want a nice firm ride but not dead thrashy where you can feel every bump on the road also i would like adjustable dampers
i'm not well up on coilovers in the past i have just used lovering springs but your stuck with the ride height then
my budget is about 800 so any advice from you guys will be greatly appreciated
i have been looking at these and wondered if anyone has used them https://ceika-store.com/products/cct1m144

i'll get pics up when i get them

Cheers

There is a saying buy s**t buy twice

However bc racing should be in your budget, as I was going to go for them - but opted for kw3's.

I rang 5 dealers asking there advice - what was best and kw3 came top. However I asked them what they personally used and bc racing was the most popular.

The next question was the price difference between bc racing and kw3's we worth it- and the most popular responce was no.

Not adjustable but the Bilstein B12 kit maybe worth a look. It's right in your price range and gives a firm but not overly harsh ride.

EDIT: I came here via the "Recent Topics" list and assumed it was about E85/86 (like a lot of suspension threads), so my advice may not be relevant to you.

Take a look at these guys might be a bit out of budget! But with loom and asking them?

Or HSDs not sure if they make them for your car though.

I was also suprised by Ohlins making kits for road cars and not at stupid prices. But more than £800 probably twice that! But that's a lot cheaper than £5k for the track options!!

To be honest I don't know - the part numbers are different -however, I have not looked at them side by side.

Owners of the E89 don't really mod their car, most are very OEM.

When I was looking at Coilovers - there were not very much reference points. And it was a very much press the button and hope I made the right decision.

To further complicate things the N20 engine there is even less than more heavier 3 ltr variants.

I just wished the KW3's came with progressive springs rather than linear springs.
