You had anything in the post yet? eBay no longer says he's an unregistered user. He still has no items for sale and hasn't responded to my case though.

I Could well end up with two sets if they turn up from him aswell as the second set from a more reliable seller

Has anyone noticed any drop in light output from the low beam since fitting the LED angel eyes? I think a small percentage of light is blocked by the actual ring as I am trying to work out if its that or the headlights are aimed to high after refitting them. Could do with another Zed in the area to compare them too.... I may also change the Xenon bulbs as they are 8 years old and definitely do get a little dimmer with age due to discolouration usually green/black on the inside of the glass where the arcing occurs. (Changed my 10 year old ones on the compact on 1 side and it was a whole lot brighter than the other)

Did you fit a resistor, or just wire up the LED angel to the existing side light bulb (with the side light bulb left in)?

I wired up the LED angel so the sidelight bulb wiring for now.... the LED are superbright no problems there I dont think it electrical issue its just the main lowbeam Xenon seems to have lost its crisp powerful beam i was used to seeing or maybe I am just being paranoid. What It could be is the light the LED's are throwing upwards and to the side make everything else brighter than the beam on the road in contrast that we are used to seeing. I just fear a bit of light is being blocked by the ring. CJ likely will not have had that problem as his rings are ultra thin but these LED ones I would say perhaps block 10%-15% of the 80mm opening due to the thickness of them. When I pull one of mine apart again I might run some tests against a wall for light output/pattern with/without the ring.

I take it the recoding prevents the 'bulb out light' also the indicators to be 'stuck on'?

i just switched of the 'pulse detection' for the sidelights exactly like done with the facelift LED rear lights thread 'cheap facelift rear light update' . No indicators are stuck on this way and no warning light on the dash.

You would just change the values from aktiv to nicht_aktiv when coding the LCM.

not sure if this helps but dont know if you are fitting pre-facelift to pre-facelift car or facelift headlights anyway

you have to move pin 4 (side light) to pin 3

My bad, it wasnt pulse modulation I touched, I believe that alters the brightness? (Did that for the rear lights) It was just the codes I stated above that I used to get the light out on the dash without using a resistor. I guess for the hassle of coding it all if not changing anything else a resistor might be easier.
