I have bought and used these exact ones http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E85-E86-Z4-Roadster-Coupe-Z4M-CCFL-Halo-Rings-Angel-Eyes-WHITE-/220947563727

Cheers for that, just ordered a set. I wasn't going to bother with AEs but get the feeling I'll really regret it if I don't! Just hope I can make a really neat job of them as any visible glue will do my nut in.

I would also pickup a glue gun, much easier than a tube of adhesive for attaching the ccfl angel rings

Fitted the lights this morning before work.

First problem was the sidelight LEDs didn't work, so had to open the backs and spin them around. I did this quickly with the lights off the car but its humid, and have noticed some mild fog on the lower inside tonight, so will see if it clears tomorrow. If not, they will be coming off and getting a dry out at the weekend. If that doesn't solve it, I will have to check the seals! As the back covers and seals are new, it could be the front seal around the headlight but was pretty sure it was sealed tight

On the other hand, they look 8) and the indicators flash just fine :D

A few quick pics, looks much fresher in my opinion. M bumper and black grills next

Thanks, I'm pretty pleased with them.

I do want to add double CCFL AE soon, but not the ones you linked Ranski, I'd like to get ultra thin ones like CJ had, unfortunately the link no longer takes you to these, so will need to source them elsewhere.

Mine are the same as cjeep's they are just inside a case that you can remove

T2FFN - YES!

Thats just spot on. Dark inners has really made them look nice obviously helped by the colour of your car.

I think once the new bumper and black grilles are on it will look superb. And then me being me - Just some wheel spacers to give the car more stance and it will look very purposeful

Grills being plasti-dipped today. Not sure when the M bumper will get done though.

I've got 15mm spacers waiting to go on the back, along with new discs and pads. I dont have a jack, otherwise would be on already :(

Ranski, i spent a while looking and will probably go with the ones you linked.

T2FFN... nice job on the car so far... i'm pretty sure mine will end up looking very similar to yours when i'm done with it!

i'm waiting for my M bumper parts in the mail and i will take appart my lights when i'm ready to get the bumper painted!

anyone know where to get the angel eye LED's like tecarbon uses? and what size they are??

A quick update on my conversion. I ordered the AEs that Ranski linked to but I'm not impressed at the sizing. The outer ring fits perfectly but the inner is too small without being suspended by ugly silicon. It measures about 77mm rather than 80mm. I've ordered a pair of 85mm rings to see if they'll be a better fit. Looks like another 2 weeks off the road while I wait for them.

Ah sh*t, I just bought them and they arrived today. I will measure them later, maybe you got a bad batch. They from the ebay link, arrive in a black box?

My headlights are on the car so I can't place them in to see how they fit yet.

Im going for entry #2 soon

Yes mate, a black box. I've no complaints about quality but they're not 80mm outer dimension. Even if they were, I'm not convinced the inner ring can be glued in neatly. Hopefully 85mm will be spot on.

Good luck with your re-entry!

You are right about the sizing. The Inner ring does not fit perfectly, however i was able to silicone in place without it being noticable. I posted pics earlier in the thread of mine...

I'll use your method if I have to but I'm hoping the 85mm rings will be perfect and therefore require a lot less glue!
