I've seen people at car shows using portable 12v (possibly rechargeable) pressure washers - might be worth looking at

Ive just orderd one of these to try. Not to expensive so if it's pants not an issue.

Just converted to the clay mitt and I am very happy with it especially on the larger panels. Not getting rid of the clay bar just yet as it still has its uses especially up to the edge and tight corner.
