That 280 Brooklands Crapi seems cheap. They were selling for 20k plus recently.

Not sure what that price reflects pondrew, had a good chat with the owner and he has agreed insurance valuation of 40K, and offers of 35k on regular basis.

I seem to remember 2.8is were about £8K in 1983 and later Specials listed around £9K, so maybe that was the list price when Brooklands were new in 1987? I'm pretty sure there was a premium compared to the Special.

I had an uncle who had a red Fuego. I loved it in the early '80s. Like so many Renaults, great styling, terrible engineering :roll:

I used to go to Earls Court regularly in the 60s/70s ans 80s and loved it.

Refused to ever go to the NEC - it was in the middle of nowhere!

Anyway just for you here is a mint LC I saw at a Pistonheads meet in 2015 - the owner still has it apparently.

I went to Earls Court in 1989, star of the show for me was the F40 followed by the yellow Z1 and tucked away on a crap stand was a 959

That’s awesome. He had some information with the car stating that very fact. Some boy like, it looked mint.
