So I wake up this morning and go to get in my Mini Cooper s and some twats have professionally stolen the wing mirrors.

Not only mine but 4 other minis wing mirrors up the road.

It's bloody Christmas Eve.

Do people have no heart at all? It was a professional job no marks left at all. Makes me sick to my stomach. Mine were electric folding mirrors so it will have to be an insurance claim just feel sick. Good way to put a downer on Christmas Eve :(

So just a warning I suppose to other mini owners it must be easy to do.

Sorry to hear Tom......don't let it put too much of a downer on your Xmas though.
Might be worth keeping an eye on Ebay for anyone in your neck of the woods selling wing mirrors.

If they are anything like X5 mirrors that are about £2k a pop, then it is not surprising it happens :x

Very annoying indeed but they HAVE to end up on ebay surely. Doubt that the police will even be interested if you find them there, but you may have to "sort" it yourself then.
 
Sorry to hear that Tom. How the hell do they get the mirrors off from the outside?

+1 on watching eBay and Gumtree, although if they've taken a bunch of them they might be feeding the black market abroad.

Could be Staffordshire is a bit of a trek. But I'm sure there not that stupid to list locally.

The police said there was a sting with them last night 4 cars reported so far. They are easy to take off just a couple of screws not a mark they made a wonderful job so no body repair.

They said they wear surgical gloves and do it late at night so as not to arouse suspicion.

Nm no one got hurt its just annoying caus the car will have to sit outside until they can be sorted as its christmas and my mini garage is 20 miles away. So I can't use it just glad the Z and the Porsche have garages.

There coming back to me with a price but the guy said he wouldn't be surprised if it was over 500 with them being electric folding.

They want catching, taking to a shed and their bits put in a vice, then break the Handle off and get a hacksaw, when they ask " are you going to cut my bits off" say "no, you are, I'm going to set the shed on fire" :evil: :thumbsup:
 
i,d be pretty pi55ed off that they can be removed like that :cry: & concerned it would happen again ?
have you considered spending £17k on a garage :wink:

Are the z4's similar to remove?
 
Just had the quote from the BMW £799 and then they need painting black as it has a black roof and they were black... So including paint £900!

Absolutely fuming
