Here's a plan ----Stonehaven for Fish & Chips on Sunday 8th September..@ 10.30 am

Start point will be the Red House Hotel in Coupar Angus - then a rush north into the Grampian Mountains before turning south again thro' Glen Isla (one of our prettiest but often overlooked glens.) After Glen Isla we will travel along the Valley of Strathmore from Kirriemuir (birthplace of James Barry) and on towards Edzell and Fettercairn before climbing up and over the Cairn o' Mount towards Banchory. Swinging back south again we will return over the Grampians using the famous Slug Road to Stonehaven. After fish and chips we will take the coastal route south to Montrose, and then head across-country to Brechin. From Brechin we can use the minor road that goes over Finavon Hill to Forfar, passing the church with the famous Pictish Stones at Aberlemno on the way. At Forfar we have the option of having coffee, or ice creams, or even a toilet break at McDonald's, before taking the final leg of our journey back to Coupar Angus.

Route length approx 150 miles... :driving:

NB Watch out for unmarked cars and fixed speed cameras on the A90.....you have been warned.

Really wish it wasn't so far away. Guiseley and I were hoping to come up to see you all again this year, but we were hoping for a weekend run. Hope you all have a great time

Thanks Jared - we had collectively intended to have another Skye / Applecross type run but for various understandable reasons it didn't quite happen this year. I think some of us do have the resolve to ensure it happens next year and good warning will be given. This is likely to take the form of a 2 day run - or maybe even 3 if there's an appetite to head to the very north west coast !

Equally I had hoped to join a Yorkshire run or maybe Wales but time / business/life has gotten in the way a bit. Been looking forward to seeing Guiseley's new coupe !
Here's to more forum meets soon !

I will hopefully make this but it's all dependent on this guy Iv got coding my xenon headlights, he's been having bother getting the LCM to behave. Also cars away getting my new runflats refitted after 2 front lost pressure the other day due to not being sealed correctly! Having one of those months with this car right now! Not even had a chance to fit paddle shifts yet although all the wiring is in place. I will let you all know by end of the week.

Just seen this now. I doubt I will be able to join you's as I'm away working and unlikely to be home :(

Enjoy the run guys and remember and get the DSC turned off for the hairpin at the viewing point at the Cairn o' Mount :driving:

Hopefully I will make the next one.

Really fancied this but Sorry can't make it - have a previous - Shuttleworth Collection , Victory Show (Google it) and Duxford Air show - so a busy weekend.

Will get up for another run asap.

Have a great day.

Paul and Steph
