maybe it is simply down to where you live? got any other drivers on the policy ?

confused.com are actually part of the Admiral Group of companies

Well i put my old man on the policy as i was told that would be cheaper that way, hes never had an accident,(touch wood)!!!

Seems weird though that the price has gone down £300 with admiral from phoning them to doing it over the net.. ?

It's through Lloyds TSB

Just as a note, I called Admiral today to tell them I now have a personal plate on the car, convo went like this:

Me: My new plate is blah blah blah.
Admiral: OK, no problem. That's £17 please.

I asked what it was for - they said admin.
I said - you just typed it into your database, what else do you have to do? Do you make £20/second?
She said 'oh, well, yes I suppose I could waiver it'.
Yes please...

Only quote under a grand was Swift Cover at £910. Have heard bad things about them however, anyone vouch for their services? Otherwise I'll renew with Morethan who are slightly more (they don't have a figure on gocompare for some reason)

Just read the small print - from memory, they only use second hand and patent parts for repairs.

Whos the youngest owner on here? Ive got a quote of £1350 for an 03 3.0 Z4, just wondering who the younger people are with as I cant seem to beat this or even get withing about £200 of it

I am 43 (well, my bones are, in my head I'm 23) and just had a cheapest quote at £853, due to me having no NCD.
(Divorce impending, she was older so we always used her with me as a named driver. I have 5 years NCD on a bike, but most companies won't use it for a car, like they will if you have a second car.) :x :x

I am currently with Ebike and Ecar insurance, they wanted £530 for a mid-term change to a Z4 from my knackered old Pajero, which they charged me £750 for. So that makes £1280, plus £300 for the bike (ZZR1400  )

Carole Nash (bikers will know them) now do a 6 wheel insurance where they (sensibly) will use all your NCD from a bike/ car and mirror it for your car/bike - I can't physically ride and drive at the same time, so why not! :D .

They want £1018 for both, sounds like a deal-maker to me. Roll on NCD increases next year!

I have a somewhat tainted driving history and was amazed that after phoning lots of "specialist" insurers, sainsbursy finance (selling esure products) were cheapest by half. literally. £940 as opposed to next nearest quote of £1800. Unfortunately, they messed me around no end in terms of NCB proof they wanted and after jumping through lots of hoops they cancelled my policy because they said they didn't receive my proof of NCB in the very short cut off date they imposed despite me sending it in good time. Not only that, they decided to tell me that they had cancelled the policy by sending me a letter 5 days after they cancelled it. They offered to sell me a new policy for £100 more but I chose to go back to Adrian Flux who were a couple of hundred quid dearer but well worth it in terms ofdealing with someone who knows what customer service is. Anyway, rant over but beware sainsburys...

Hi, 3.0 SI driveway, 15000 miles a year, 9 years no claims, wife and me only both with 1 SP30, fully comp plus NCD protected and leagal aid cover. Got the new quote for this year from M&S up from 320 to 520.
Looked on compare the market for similar, esure and sheilas wheels both about 428 was going to go with one of them when a letter from Swinton brokers landed on the mat offering 40 cash back so gave them a call. Took 40 minutes going through everything in the end it was 528 with 450 excess so I said thanks but I'll take one of the lower offers on compare the market. She then offered 150 cash back in three months if I don't cancel the policy before then so I took the deal, biggest cash back I have ever been offered.
