Change to M3??

Don't do it.
Certainly not at that trade in price.
Heck, give me a month to sell mine and I'll buy yours for £14k, there's not many around with that kind if mileage. Or see what he'll take for mine as trade in and I'll pay the difference...
I've been thinking about getting into a lower mileage car since I'm wanting to keep it for the long term, but was thinking of making the change to a coupe, in black.

Also its ok saying I would get £15-16K for mine but it could take months to sell :(

Once you do the deal with BMW just bang the car on here and say that it needs to shift in two weeks or however long BMW have given you.

Even at £14k it would give you £2k extra cash and a bit more of a bargaining tool on the price of the M3.

Its 3% flat not APR, its about 6% APR. Still very good for used PCP.

However I could of used HFE (honda finance) through my work and for the same rate. While bowker will make no finance commission (and I do mean non), they will get VB (volume bonus)

Which Honda garage you work for? My FIL Owns honda in wigan

I work for Cox Motor Group, we have just bought Gordon's Honda in Wigan.

With regards to the cars history, it was previously owned by a disabled customer who purchased it VAT free..... nice little saving!

I know I only had one for about a month, but it didn't overly impress me.

It was very capable car but felt more akin to my old M5.

It felt faster than the Z4 above 100mph and rode the bumpy roads very well, but it just didn't feel very precise, felt heavy & slow to respond, and required you to turn in much earlier than you'd do so in the Z4.

The DCT box was also not to my liking as that, combined with the throttle delay, meant you'd try to quickly pull out of a junction to find there was no power, so you'd lift off and expect to stay where you were only to find the car jumping suddenly forward. You'd obviously get used to it, but I just found it really unnerving.

Also didn't like the 20mpg max on a steady run, or the 14mpg around town.

Am I for only person the things the pop deal is not great?

Here is why.......

Car is worth 32K.
Yours is worth 12K

20K to be financed... A loan for 20K over 5 years is 364 per month (money supermarket) and you own the car at the end!

Now think that you can get 15K for your car and an m3 can be had for mid 20's with comp pack buying private.
And your payments could be a decent chunk lower and over a much shorter term. To the point where 10K loan over 3 years is just under 300 a month.

Good luck in your search

Check out Moorelands in Basingstoke. They had a couple of M3's on there a few weeks ago. No I don't work for them. i have had 2 Z4's off them and a Nissan Navara.

Just to also point out, that is a very expensive finance option. Money is cheap at the moment. Look at Zope - 3.6% as opposed to nearer 10% with BMW...!!!

Don't do it. Your gorgeous M for black wheels and poverty white?
Keep the Z4, it's much more special than the M3.
Once the novelty of the M3 wears off I'm sure you will wish you'd kept the Z4.

Love how they blank the number plate but it's in the link in the browser lol. It's a no from me.

That's a fair sum up and I loved mine above 100 but obviously not ideal as the limit is 60 in most places, I found it heavy and cumbersome at low speeds but it did feel better the quicker you went.

My brother in law complains about the DCT in his not behaving itself(lag and when moving slowly) but mine was a manual because I am of the old school and wanted three pedals mated to a V8 :driving:

Make sure you see the V5 previous owner details before you hand over any cash. Pistonheads/Styner confirming the large batch of white M3s on AUK are ex palmer sport experience day cars. Sure they have been looked after and will all have new brakes and tyres but I would want a big discount over one used for general road use.

popey i hear you, but their are plenty of other m3s no way should you even be considering trading your 25k miles z4m for 12k.... that is NUTS..... next thing you'll see up for sale at 18k.... am i missing something here why are you even considering this?? mental deal imo.

Lee, how was your TT-S in comparison to the ZMR?

Good question and the TT-S had a more usable feel to it and the power was on tap sooner and for a 4 pot turbo engine I actually thought it sounded pretty good with the sports exhaust and it was a very easy car to drive hard and had excellent grip at all times, the interior I much preferred to the Zed as well.

Steering feel was poor on the TT and it was just too light and not especially communicative and the ride on the 19" rims was similarly as poor as the Zed on 18" rims.

I much preferred the steering on the zed and the engine obviously felt a far superior unit although similar to the M3 in that its best work is on its top end, in many ways the Z4M and TT-S are chalk and cheese and the Zed feels raw and old school and a drivers car whereas the TT-S feels modern and easy to drive and just has a more overall daily usable appeal.

It goes without saying that the Z4M is more fun ultimately but I wouldn't have wanted to run a Z4M as a daily(used mine as a weekender) whereas the TT-S was used as a daily and it was very good at it.

Hope that gives you a snippet :)
