Change to M3??

Good choice sticking to the sporty car that was designed to be that way :thumbsup: and not buying a car that's based on a family car with a few bits added to try to make it into something sporty.

The deal to get into the M3 wasn't adding up for me on any level , as already stated the ZM is only going north as years go by whereas the M3 would head south & would most likely drop the price of Z4M within 3 years , not good business & not really a weekend fun car :driving:
If you want a listen at my BCS boxes sure we can arrange a mini meet up :thumbsup:
 
The M3 is a great car but that deal.. I would pass. I think white does the M3 no favours either as its flowing lines look a bit flat.

I took delivery of a 2013 Limited Edition 500 Convertible M3 last saturday. Stratus grey with Z1XX Rust interior, every option you could want on it and only has 10k miles on it. DCT, EDC, Comfort pack - the lot

Put the Z4 coupe on a SORN and have garaged it indefinitely.



 
Wonder what that would look like with silver wheels, as the black looks not very nice in my opinion.

I have never been much of a fan of black wheels because you lose all the detailing of the wheel for me, the V8 engine in the M3 does sound awesome with the roof down in the convertible model though 8) yet in the Coupe its barely audible :(
 
The photo doesn't really do it justice

Will get a better snap at the weekend. One option it does have that I forgot to mention is the ///M factory performance exhaust :fuelfire:

My brother in law has a V8 M3 cab and on the standard exhaust with the roof down it sounds brill...so yours will sound wicked with the MPE on it :thumbsup: 8)

I often had the windows down in my Coupe because I appreciate engine/exhaust noises massively(blame my Dad as he had a 5.0L V8 mustang when I was seven!) but the difference is massive in the convertible in a positive way, my brother in law thought my M3 had a different engine fitted to it when compared to his Convertible V8 M3.

I have always personally preferred Coupes but I was very impressed with the V8 M3 Cab, yet I did think my Z4 was quiet though even with the roof down.

Ah, I thought "well I've gone and done it" implied that you had bought the M3 and the Z4 was also staying due to the poor trade in offer.

Good move anyway, get those RPI's sold and get using it more :thumbsup:
 
I've also been looking at one car to replace the zmc and 730. But the more I look at it the more I'm better of upgrading the z on how it sounds :-).

But we are all different and if it's "you only live once" get something special like a db9 or maza so that you understand how cheap a zm is to run...
 
I would not loose my Z4M for an M3.Once you're done with burning petrol for that V8 sound, you'll just end up missing the Z4 which is way more entertaining at lower speeds... Don't get me wrong, I love the M3, it os a better everyday proposition and a much better GT but unless you're canning it, it's just a 3 series coupe with a tighter feel, nice sound and rough ride...
