Central locking is dead

I've seen the guide on this and don't really fancy it. Rather just pay a pro to do it. But the first step it to find the bloody thing and get it out! Any ideas?

This is what I can see in behind glove box...

Put my repaired Gm5 back in today and all is good. No apparent problems and all working as it should.

You need to remove the panel below the glove box (2 screws) No need to drop glove box itself.

I disconnected the battery, dropped that lower cover and then removed the mounting bracket that the module is held onto and removed the GM5 and the mounting bracket as one. Then disconnected the three leads and away you go

Got it! Lol all that pointless messing about with the glovebox. Thinking I may buy one a working one of these modules and then get this repaired separately.

Isn't it coded to the car? Not sure you can do a swap without coding?

Can still use car weather dependant as have no wipers.

Will be the same part number for all the same model zed's. But would still need to be coded to work, at least that's my understanding.

also have a bulb error light on the dash but all the bulbs are working...will this be fixed by replacing the relays?

central locking working!

cheapest fix ever! cost about £7 in parts and free labour as a mate did it for me!

Yeh sorry it was just the relays. Although I still have a bulb error on the dash which I don't get because all bulbs work. This apparently is one of the gm5 issues according to my research. Although not sure in this case as I've sorted the relays.

Well that's good - I take it they were just push fit rather than solder? It might reset itself after a couple of starts, have you not got a copy of INPA?

Hi. Not they need soldering. And it's not a really simple job as the board is coated in plastic. It's not too complicated either.

I do have INPA

Better than a new module!

INPA should tell you why the CC light is on, clear it and see if it comes back. Could be unrelated e.g. a bulb on its way out.

Where in INPA do I look for this? The option for LCM just gives me a bunch of errors.
